A friend recommended this place, but we had no idea it would be such a fine dinning experience. It was a very pleasant surprise for a business lunch. José was a very gracious host and was always there with more wine when we needed him. The contemporary Galician cuisine was delicious. I will definitely be back. Thanks for the great experience!

We are a party of 3 that had just finished our dinner tonight. To be exact we started our dinner at 8:30 pm on April 4 and didn’t finish until after midnight.
We totally enjoyed out evening out, I say this not just because of the good food. It was the warm welcome and attentive/friendly service from Rocio and Domingo that made our meal so much more enjoyable. I would like to thank them personally for their super service. Thank you, Rocio, thank you, Domingo.

Last night in Madrid and after some investigation we went for Los Montes de Galicia. LMG is in between casual and fine dining restaurant.
Instead of the la carte we when for the 21 year anniversary menu pared with two bottles of wines:

Black pudding dumpling: very good.
Galician soap: rich and tasty
Codfish dough: creamy with nice crispy surface.
Artichoke tempura: neutral taste, nothing special
Wagyu black pudding: usual tat an good
Foie with Pedro Ximenez: excellent

Baby goat shoulder: very tender and full of flavors. A bit dry as there where no sauce.
Wage burger: cooked medium/well (as requested), this was a mistake as it became compact and a bit dry. Go for the recommended medium/rare.

Lemon and cava sorbet: super fresh and tasty
Galician cheesecake: good but nothing special

A lot of food and overall a very good dinner and a affordable price.
The service was very tentative and friendly.

Reserved ahead, although on a Sunday evening it was not full.
Most -or all- the customers were tourists.
We decided to have the menu with a fixed set of appetizers + a main course of our choice. The appetizers were excellent : fish croquettes, fried artichokes, sausage, octopus etc. When we got to the main courses (roasted piglet and steak tartare) we bareley tasted them, as we were completely full. Can however say they were also very good.
We accompanied our meal with the house red, which we liked and when presented with the bill we were also given a bottle of the house white wine to take home, as the menu price included a bottle of wine for each person.
The total bill, icluding tax etc amounted to 132 Euro for two persons.
