Beautiful and interesting park conveniently located with peaceful areas and good spaces for interacting. Disappointingly for us both the cristal palace and the Velazquez palace were closed for new exhibitions about to open in a few days. It would have seemed better to organise things for tourists so that one of them was open at anytime. Really enjoyed the trad jazz band (which was playing just for tips) and giving the area by the lake a real happy upbeat feel.
Well worth a look and a stroll as a change from museum overdose.

Large park in central Madrid popular with families with children. Large boating lake, ducks ,swans and terrapins. Lots of shady walks . Very relaxing alternative to sight seeing and museums

We planned to sit in the park to enjoy a quiet few hours and instead we walked every acre. It's spectacular. Mere feet away from some of Madrid's loudest traffic and before you know it, you're in a magnificent park. Highly underrated and highly recommended especially if peace of mind and quiet seclusion is what you're looking for while here.

What a gorgeous place! The flowers! The grounds! The fountains! Great atmosphere, nice change of pace from the traditional touristy stops. You can relax here and just walk around and smell the roses (literally!). We were hoping they had food options once we got inside and we were so happy to find the very adorable Bar Mirador (separate review).

It was the first park I visited in Madrid I still think it's nice. I realy enjoyed the part of the park where you could stay on the grass a have a quaiet moment. The rest is not spectacular and the park was dirty (you can not compare it with the parks in Barcelona). If you visit Madrid you can visit it but it's not a must see.
