Suitable for cycling or walking. Lots of lovely places and gardens. Very relaxing after the hustle of the city. Great little boating lake and cafes to enjoy a beer/wine whilst watching the street musicians and performers.

I love this park. It always has people but is never too full and has become my regular running route.

My mom lives near this park so during our two week visit I went at least 4 times and would definitely recommend it if you are wanting to stretch your legs in a beautiful environment.

One of the reason why I am so in love with Madrid is magnificent Parque del Retiro. It is so nice to sit on the benches of this gorgeous park after a busy day of sightseeing... Wide alleys decorated with beautiful sculptures, ponds with ducks and swans, gorgeous flower beds, Madrileños passing by with their kids... everything in this park soothes your soul. Find some time to enjoy it - you will not be sorry.

Very centrally located, (the entrance in front of the famous Puerta de Alcala), this park is worth a visit for a few hours.

It has a nice lagoon, some palaces, manicured gardens, and a variety of places to eat for reasonable prices. Wven on a crowded Sunday, id yu walk a couple of minutes away from the lagoon, you will find places for you, not crowded at all.

Thank Edgardo K
