We went on the walking tour at the Prado with Michael. He was not only knowledge, but enjoyed what he was taking about. The group was small, so he could engage with us collectively and individually. The tour was well put together to create an engrossing narrative about the collection. I usually do not go for tours when I visit art museums but I would definitely do a Context tour again.

Whenever we get to a new city, especially if we don't have a lot of time and there's a lot to see, we try to find a Context Tour for at least some part of it. There are never more than 6 people on your tour and the guides are always very knowledgeable and generally PhDs in the field. Our guide, besides speaking several languages quite well (particularly English, of course), had a wide range of knowledge on this "Madrid through the Ages" tour. We learned a little bit of everything about Madrid and visited some interesting places that we might not have known to look for, and probably wouldn't have known details about the various places. The tour allows us to get the most out of touring.

The Context Tours Savoring Madrid: Tavernas and Tapas was a fun way to learn about the food, beer, wine and culture of Spain while visiting several neighborhood tapas bars in Madrid. Our guide, Tessy Carrada, was knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic. She introduced us to a variety of food, beers and wine and effectively used maps, pictures and menus to help us better understand the regional foods and wines and to answer our questions. A very interesting and enjoyable experience.

Barbara was our guide for the Reina Sofia and it was an amazing eye opener when Spanish history and modern art education are presented together. She did a wonderful job: she really knows her subject and she is great at presenting the material to make it truly fascinating. I highly recommend taking this tour with her.
