What an amazing palace. While not as old as some of the other European palaces the artistry and detail here is beyond anything that we've seen before. They offer guided tours which may be helpful if you're interested in the history. The signage offers a good overview as you walk thru. Pictures are not allowed. The views of the valley from the exterior are beautiful. Definitely worth the time to explore this palace.

The palace has all original art and decorations. The tour is one hour with the audio guide which is very easy to follow.

The building is absolutely stunning. Great square out front with an amazing fountain to sit by and reflect on the world.

We didn’t intend to take a tour of the palace but so glad we did. Spent an hour walking around the royal armouries and then into the palace. You’re not allowed to take photos inside the palace other than in a few locations and on the main stairs. I don’t have a photo of it, but I particularly like the 60 seater dining room! One tip: don’t queue for tickets. We purchased on a smart phone while stood outside and then within minutes you’re inside. You just go in the ‘with tickets’ line, have your e-ticket scanned on your phone and you’re away ahead of the 50 people still queuing!
