Fancy restaurant in one of Madrid's well off quarters. I would profile the restaurant as an Italian restaurant. Food is fine. Pasta excellent. Ambiance selected. It has a nice garden inside fit to enjoy a dinner. Minimum €120 per couple.

I had lunch there as the guest of a well know Madrileño, and everyone stopped by our table to say hello. As noted elsewhere, the service is impeccable and the decor sublime, but the food just doesn't match the trappings (or the prices). One of several restaurants owned by Sandro Silva, you'd be better off at Quintin.

If you are looking for a very nice ambiance and you do not care about food or money, this is the place.
The garden/veranda is very beautiful. Waiters also excellent, service very good.
Food is not their best.
We paid some 80€ per pax (party of eight) sharing entrees and desserts.
Main courses range from average 20 to 30.
Try their stracciatella as an entree. Very good, though quite simple.

I hoped when going here finally to find an Italian in madrid worth visiting. The restaurant is Stunningly well designed (cozy, and witb an amazing garden) and with very good service. The problem is the food.... we shared a fish carpaccio and the flavors were lacking (but beautiful presented). Then we had a salad which was so salty that my friend did not eat it. I ordered a langustino/lemon tagliatelle, but got served a lobster tagliatelle. Well executed. But plain with no surprises. Panacotta was excellent though. All in all not worth the money. Still looking for an italian opened at night... for the day i highly recommend the one in mercado la paz. Their carbonara is the best on the planet!

One of the best restaurants I have been to. If you are looking for the perfect night with your wife or family, Numa Pompilio is the right place to go. From the "Tagliolini funghi en rueda de Pecorino" and the "Solomillo a la pimienta verde", Numa Pompilio offers a great variety of plates but I would definitely recommend these two. Top level Italian restaurant.
