It is located in 50m of Puerta Del Sol at a pedestrian street, indeed. Nothing to add to this fact.
It is a very good designed hotel (the architect is Luis Vidal - google his site, he is proud of this work). Well trained staff. A decent oriental restaurant Udon in the same building and a tapas bar - yes in the same building too.
Very good idea with breakfast: it is not provided, instead: each morning a complimentary water bottles, fruit and croissaint in a nice pack are waiting right at your door but this is not all. The gem is the basement: a cafe room with free coffee, tea and fresh, good fruit - 24 hours. Eat, drink, enjoy - when you want! The variety of different eateries in 100m radius is simply enormous, therefore what is needed inside the hotel is precisely fruit and coffee. You got it! Last detail: both linen and towels in our room were of really high quality. It does make difference during summer months in Madrid.
Sincerely recommended.

I stayed here solo for 4 nights in May. Initially it was only supposed to be for 2 nights, but when I needed to extend my stay the hotel was very accommodating. Every one at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The 24/hour coffee downstairs was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the heart of Sol and literally the perfect location in Madrid as I walked everywhere. There are tons of restaurants, cafes and shops near the hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Wifi was great. My first room was facing the main street so it was definitely noisy at night, but my second room faced the back and was much quieter. I would stay here again on my next visit to Madrid!

Booked this hotel based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful! Rooms and hotel are modern, minimalist decor, very well kept and comfortable. Location 1 minute walk to Sol Square is right in the centre close to everything on a busy pedestrian street but the hotel is sort of off the street and room was well soundproofed, completely quiet with nothing from outside or adjoining rooms. To find it you really do need to look for the Udon Noodle Bar, the hotel entrance is just past with the small B&B sign hanging out.
The hotel doesn't have a full breakfast but rather offers a lounge (included) on the lower level with automatic espresso machine, tea, hot chocolate, fruit, and fruit juice that is open 24 hrs, and early every morning a bag with small pastries, fruit, and bottled water is delivered to your door. It you want a more substantial breakfast the hotel will provide a voucher to get a discounted breakfast at an adjoining restaurant but not being big breakfast eaters we found most days the hotels offering was enough. It's been getting hot in Madrid the past few days (33C+ / 95F+) and we really appreciated the practically silent excellent AC in the room. We enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation recommending B&B Hotel Puerta del Sol!

We stayed in may 2017. It was very clean, huge double bed, great waterfall shower with very good water pressure, WiFi was very good also, nice packed breakfast hanging on our door every morning, the street was loud and we couldn't here any of it from our room, very well insulated, in the center of everything, we walked everywhere.
Will definitely come back here next time in Madrid.

Me and my friend stayed here on the 9th may for two nights. It was a last minute booking as the hotel we originally booked was too far out of the city centre so we decided to check if anything was available closer, and this hotel was just what we wanted!
It was cheaper than the other hotel which was a surprise, and bang in the middle of the city. It was very clean and had modern decor, the bed was huge and so comfy! The room had a separate cubicle for the toilet and the shower and the sink was in the middle. The shower was an overhead/ceiling shower which was amazing.
The room had mood lighting aswell which was a nice touch, made the room different to other hotels I've stayed in. The room had a good air-con system which we used a lot!
Both mornings we were there, they put a paper bag on the door and inside it had complimentary pastries, two bottles of water and two pieces of fruit which was very much needed when we woke up,and was a lovely touch aswell! They have a little cafe area on the lower ground floor which have coffee&tea machines with extra fruit which was always open which you could help yourselves too.
The entrance to the hotel isn't that obvious, but wasn't hard for us to work out where it was,we got a taxi straight from the airport (which is a standard rate of €30 to the city centre) and the driver got as close to the hotel as possible as it is very pedestrianised around there, and directed us what way to go. It's next to a very nice noodle restaurant.

We went on segways while we was in the city and I would recommend going on them to anyone! It's a great way to see the sights in Madrid,we had our own tour guide which was fun, the company was called "En Segway" and was €25 for a one hour tour, we found him zooming round Plaza Mayor, the best time to go is around 6/7pm when it's close to sunset, you'll get the best pictures!
If you want to try the local churro's aswell, the best chocolate is at "Chocolateria San Gine's" it's the most well known one in Madrid!
Overall, loved the hotel,it's location was perfect! And would definitely recommend it! It was quiet aswell, considering it was so central we didn't hear any noise throughout the night.
