This is a lovely hotel in a great location and reasonably priced for being so centrally located. It's a Hilton property - which one of the reasons I decided to stay there but it was really a good decision as we walked everywhere we went the 2 days we were in Madrid. Staff is delightful and very helpful in all areas. I would stay there again.

Lovely new hotel located on a top spot in Madrid. The quality you may expect from the DoubleTree hotels. On walking distance from the Prado museum and the Thyssen Bornemisza museum. Just round the corner you'll find the pretty Plaza de Santa Ana with a lot of nice and cosy restaurants.

Location of the Hotel is great short walk into most of downtown`s sightseeing places. Staff were welcoming and helpful, room was also nice even it was looking other building, but it was quite and cosy. Breakfast was quite expensive 22 Euro. Gym is in a basement, not that much of the equipment

Room tip: Rooms facing street are lighter.

This is a wonderful addition to a Hilton Honors properties in Madrid. And what a property it is! The location could not be better - very central and on a very quiet street. We stayed last weekend for my birthday, and it was the first time for us both in Madrid and staying at the hotel. We booked a Superior room with terrace, and got a room on the fifth floor. The room was smallish but very comfortable (I believe the room opposite ours in the same category was bigger), however, the terrace and the amazing views more than made up for it. The bathroom was very stylish; and the room overall was very nice and shiny and new. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly check-in agent who explained everything about the hotel to us and advised not to be surprised if we see sushi for breakfast as the restaurant was a Japanese one.:-) In fact, breakfast was very nice; not the biggest selection, but everything at the buffet was fresh and tasty and there were 5 or 6 hot items on the menu. We ate at Kirei (hotel's restaurant) twice - for lunch and dinner - and the food was fantastic. We found every member of staff to be very nice and friendly, and it seemed like everyone genuinely wanted us to have a good time and to enjoy our stay. We would come back!

This is Hilton Groups newest hotel in Madrid -- a Franchise.

An old building in which there was a wonderful Argentinian restaurant i used to dine in.

The hotel is Boutique style - rooms are small unless you are lucky to get the rooms on highest floors --some of which have glorious balconies.

The reception team are very clearly hand picked -- warm welcoming and so kind.

Centrally located across the road from Government Buildings ( CONGRESSO ) and adjacent to the Palace and Villa Real Hotels.

The negative report concerns the Restaurant and Bar -- run by yet another Franchise with conflicting interests with the hotel Management / Staff.

On checkin you are given a voucher for a cocktail which worldwide means a drink in the bar -- normally House brand.

When i requested a glass of white wine --the Lady Maître D told me and waiter that i had to accept the cocktail of the day or a non alcoholic drink.
To me this was unacceptable and I walked out and went to a local cafe where i was graciously welcomed and had wine /tapas.

Other local hotels give their guests on arrival a voucher for a drink in the bar which is normally --wine--cava--coffee--non alcoholic drink.

Toiletries must be costing the hotel so much money based on wastage as it is very difficult to get shampoo etc out of the tube. Who signed for these products --did anyone try them before purchasing.

This is my 3rd stay in the hotel and i was shocked on my 1st stay to find that the restaurant did not offer English Breakfast / Earl Grey TEA --they simply had no Black Tea--so on my 2nd stay i brought my own tea !

This morning some USA guests were unable to get English Breakfast TEA--2 mos after opening---what is going on here ?

Again at Breakfast this morning the vast majority of guests had no eggs for breakfast ---there were no EGGS--all gone !!

The GM must take firm action as the restaurant/ bar are clearly -- in my opinion --not looking after guests in a Hilton manner.

Finally room rates are far too high based on the present services and this must be looked at.

Hence my very low rating.
