I visited here for 1 night last week while already staying at another hotel as I was keen to see if this place was really a 5 star hotel. We stayed in the penthouse which was the most expensive suite on the boat. We were advised that this suite usually costs £900 per night but we received a discount as it was last minute.

Great tv channel selection in English

Cons:
Everything in room is controlled electronically which is great if you can get it to work on touchscreen which was hit and miss
Blackout curtains didn't keep all light out
Lots of noise coming from deck above which disrupted sleep
Constant noise all night which we think may have bedn due to the rattling windows from the wind
Strove lights in bedroom kept switching on and off during the night which disrupted sleep
Loose toilet seat
Cold breakfast received to room
Restaurant area in need of refurb, bit run down
Disappointing stay given its priced at £900 per night. Would expect exceptional standards at this rate

I am very sorry to hear that there were some issues in your stay with us, and that fell short of your expectation. We constantly endeavour to maintain the best levels of upkeep in our hotel and I can assure you that this is of critical importance. The issues mentioned will be addressed with our Managers to improve on the overall standards.
On check out when i spoke to you both i ask if everything was fine and sadly you never mentioned these issues as we could have corrected these.

This is our 3rd stay at sunborn , we love the location, the friendly staff,& the cleanliness of the rooms & public areas.we intend to return again in March ( hopefully) if there is an end to this pandemic.

Beautiful hotel in great spot in Ocean Village/Marina Bay. Taxi takes you straight to the entrance but it’s only a15-20 min walk from the airport if you fancy that (taxi cost us £7.) Inside it is very much a high-end 4* hotel with very good service from all the staff and our Superyacht deluxe room with a balcony was very nice. It was large with a central control system to operate lights, alarm, curtains, housekeeping and phone, large TV which we never used but is interactive, minibar fridge (currently empty), plenty of wardrobe space and excellent ablution facilities. Restaurant very good with great breakfast selection and good lunch and dinner menus and the bar does a happy hour 17-1900. If you can afford it, with any room you choose, I highly recommend opting for the starboard side with views of the airport runway and Spain. We had the Ocean Village Marina side and even though we had few problems, in high season it will be very very noisy. Opposite the hotel is a selection of bars and restaurants and right next to it is the Arena Sports bar (about 20m away) which has outside a HUGE TV screen and it obviously attracts the fans. Even though we visited out of holiday season, it was UEFA week and Tue-Thu we had CL and Europa League matches until 2300 with commentary blaring out. Even after the bars closed, you could hear their rubbish skips being dragged noisily across the cobbled stones after midnight. Also, hotel was quite empty for our first few nights so we had no neighbours. On our last two nights we had some next door and some upstairs; it seems the rooms are not very soundproofed. Because the floors are wood, any footsteps across them really makes a noise. We could also hear our new neighbours conversations easily. However, we had a great stay and as long as you are careful with your booking, this of a great place to stay. Covid-19 regs: the hotel staff are always cleaning, wearing masks and following rules.
