We tried getting in at night around 9, early for Spain, and still couldn't find a place.

How it works is that you enter somehow in the tiny place and check with the Red-T shirt owner on the reservation status. If the ETA is too long and you don't have any place at the bar to stand and eat, come back at noon the other day.

We got in at noon and after waiting for around 15 minutes, we got a table. Ordered squid in its own ink, livers in gravy( spicy), pulpo(octopus), sausage in vine(salchicha en vino) and house white wine. With an endless supply of bread, it was a mind-blowing eating experience.

This is the closest you would get to eating the local stuff without feeling ripped off.

Definite spot to visit when in Compostela.

All the dishes I tried were very good. It's a very typical and humble tavern, always very full. The staff is nice and the owner really friendly. You can have great fish and seafood saving moneys. They are fast in serving, really organized.

The best octopus I've ever had I've found it in that corner of the world in Galicia. The place is packed with people so we ate standing at the bar, we had fresh wine and also had squid with ink sauce. An axeprience woth having.

This is a typical tapas bar. Having said that, the food is good and local and full of flavors. It’s a beautiful experience, I have had better ones. It’s not bad at all, but not my preferred.

A tiny little bar tucked away near the Cathedral. Only standing room for a few lucky customers.

Still as it would have been 50 years ago with the cider barrels behind the counter and a tray of mussels and cockles on the cool shelf.

Cider is presented in small white china bowls.

This is a delightful place with no frills. But a place not to be missed.
