The hotel is clean, and has a great location just across the street from the train station. Many of the rooms have a good view of the beautiful station. But the advantage of the location is wiped out by failures in the most basic of hotel attributes: security. Almost all travelers carry with them some items of value-whether jewelry and cameras or laptops and tablet computers. Although it seems that some rooms are equipped with safes, ours was not. The registration document said the hotel was not responsible for any items not left in their safekeeping. (the more traditional mechanism, before in-room safes became common). So I asked to leave my camera and tablet in their lockup. Incredibly, despite the information on the registration document, the receptionist insisted there was no place available to stow items for safekeeping. So we ended up carrying the stuff with us as we wandered around sightseeing, and going out for meals.
A couple hours after our arrival we heard someone seeming to try to open our door, but then moving on. We figured it was a guest at the wrong door. But later, after hearing more noise, we discovered a man passed out laying on the floor of the hallway near our room.
Needless to say, we won't be going back to this hotel.

First of all we would like to thank you for informing the receptionist of the guest who had fallen ill, this way we could aid him. Currently our hotel is one of the safest in Lleida. Almost all of our rooms are equipped with a safe, and very soon there will be a safe in all of the rooms. The bedroom doors have modern locks which lock right behind our guests when entering and leaving the room. Also, all of the hotel entrances are equipped with alarms and are controlled by video vigilance 24 hrs. a day.
We are proud to say that in thirty years we have never experienced problems such as insecurity or robbery in our establishment. We hope to welcome you again so you may verify our compromise to constantly improve.

Stayed at this hotel just one night as I was passing through town on my way to Andorra. Found it by driving to the city center. When I saw the Tripadvisor sticker on the front door, I stayed. It is a imposing building, located directly across the street from the main train station. My check in process at about 2000hrs was completed in a efficient and friendly manner. My room on the 3rd floor was average, while the bathroom was pretty large. Bed was comfortable, lights and tv worked and there was sufficient hot water and water presssure.

My cell phone was not working, so I used the public computer in the lobby, emailed a friend and provided my location and call back number. About one hour later they called and explained they had called the hotel three times but the hotel receptionist did not properly connect the incoming call to my room. Perhaps this is a sign of the times, switchboards and landlines are a thing of the past.

Breakfast was very good; consisting of frittata, spanish hams and sausages, cheeses, breads/rolls and a station where you squeeze your own fresh orange juice.

All thing considered, this was a good hotel, that just seemed empty. There was no character or warmth to the place. Even the lady at the breakfast buffet did not smile much. Putting that aside, it is a great value at 35 euros for the room and 7 euros for breakfast. I would stay again if I were in the area

Room Tip: I was staying on a Friday night to Saturday morning, and was able to park without charge in train station's parking lot directly across the street.

I first stayed in one of the rooms facing the square: I could not sleep at all because of the noise of cars (the windows aren't insulated). The rooms are small and uncomfortable. You can smell cigarette smoke in the hall even though only one floor allows smoking. I also stayed in an interior room which was better in terms of noise but then I could hear the people living nearby. I'd never return here.

Buenas tardes, Annabel:
Siento mucho que la insonorización de su habitación no fuese de su agrado. Es un orgullo para mi poder informarle de la finalización de las obras de mejora, con las que hemos cambiado todas las ventanas del hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the suite we stayed in. Marble floors, marble trim in the bathroom. The lady at the front desk wasn't particular pleasant but she was helpful. The breakfast was an extra 7 euro per person but it truly was a buffet feast on the 3rd floor. The diningroom overlooked the city square. The selection of food and drink was vast. The waitress here was most friendly. She had the food displayed in a very inviting fashion. Parking was free just across the street. We walked around the city and did a bit of sight seeing.

Just good enough to stay one night when you want to visit Lleida or when you are on you way.
Hotel is clean, rooms OK, near to station and centre. But hotel has no personality.
