i have stayed in this hotel 5 times since it opened in the middle of the last decade so i have obviously been quite fond of it. it is still a good proposition if you want decent sized rooms, strong aircon, and free parking on-site. but my 3 star rating today is because of its aging appearance...a few things are in a bad state of repair and the hotel is due some maintenance or just a full refurbishment. the curtains have holes, the wallpaper is peeling, the upholstery is worn, the furniture is scratched, and a few things are broken. with a bit of investment this hotel could now be a lot more appealing but im sure both AC and the new owners URH already know this.

This modern business class hotel is within walking distance of the old town. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, but the crowning glory is the view over the city from the extensive bar terrace. Not to be missed at sunset.

We were looking for a hotel with parking and within walking distance to the old city in Girona.

Palau Bellavista was perfect.
It is approximately 450m from the old town. Walking to the town is pleasant 10 mins stroll.
But the walk back to the hotel requires walking upslope and heaving yourself up staircases. A taxi will do the lifting for you for approximately €10.
The restaurant at the hotel serves superlative food. The room service pizza was pretty good too.
The staff from the restaurant / bar and check in were truly hospitable, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.
