We stayed 5 nights in one of the balcony rooms on the third floor, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent for those who wish to stay in the historic area with lots of restaurants within a few blocks walk.
Our interactions with the front desk were also great.
The common areas were very well taken care of and attractive. The bar in the lobby (low key and well isolated from the rooms so that any sound is not an issue for guests) was popular with both guests and others.
Breakfast was included in our rate but with so many options outside the hotel we only had breakfast there once. The unique La Fabrica became our favorite for a healthy breakfast.
The time we were there, mid-October, allowed us to keep our door to the balcony open all night long - the fresh air was pleasant and even though the hotel is in an active part of town, the only sound we heard all night was that of the church bells.
Note that the balcony room is uncovered by a roof and not useful if there is rain (their was rain before we came and it took a day for the balcony furniture and rug to dry out).
Our room was very quiet. This is because the balcony rooms are facing the beautiful and green back courtyard and the others guests were also quiet. I can imagine if there was a loud guest at the time, the noise would have carried into our room. Also, we did not check out the rooms facing the street so I cannot speak to the level of noise guest could experience in those rooms, however the hotel is renovated with very tight windows so possibly they would block out sound even in the front rooms.
