The hotel is in a very good location and the staff were very friendly and professional, but these are the few positives.
We were overall rather disappointed by the double room. The redeeming quality being that the bed was quite comfortable and an actual double rather than two singles pushed together as is often what we experienced travelling through various parts of the Catalan region.
However, our room looked extremely worn, the wall behind the door had a massive part where the paint and plaster had fallen away from wear. There were random, sharp-edged screws sticking out by a good 1cm from the wall - it looked like a piece of appliance had been removed but the screws not addressed. The carpet was very thin and scratchy, the air-conditioning was stuck on 23°C, so we had to manually change between settings 1-3 power at the wall to manage the temperature, and it made a horridly loud bubbling noise throughout the night.
Other amenities in the room included a typical sized TV, good electric shutters, and a small desk.
The bathroom was good-sized, though the bathtub was rather narrow so the shower curtain would stick to you during a shower. The bathroom itself had an odd damp smell.
The other disappointing thing was that we booked via Expedia, where the parking was stated as €8 per night. Most other hotels where we had paid for parking, the quoted amount reflected leaving the car there at least from check-in to check-out. But €8 reflects the price for 9pm-9am only. Leaving the car for 24hrs at the specially agreed Parking Constitució is €8 to the hotel for a discount voucher and then another €10 at the parking lot itself, i.e. €18 for 24hrs.
All in all, we would not stay again. We did a tour of various places around Costa Brava and stayed in some 2* hotels and hostels that did a better job. Even for the location, this was so disappointing.
