Strictly speaking, the hotel is in Girona. However, to see any of the sights, one has to walk quite a while (30 minutes). The rooms are clean, but not special. We liked the surprise Cava, but found it weird that there were two bottles. The reception was welcoming. The breakfast wasn't worth the dough.

We booked here as we are familiar with the Ibis brand and this place allows dogs. No quibble. It is within walking distance of the centre but not in the centre. There is limited free parking at the entrance with secure open-air or garage parking available at a cost.

Reception was well done and efficient. The room was very slightly larger than most Ibis hotel rooms but the view out was of an adjacent budget hotel.

The small flat screen TV had many international news channels. WiFi was good and simple but probably not secure. The en-suite shower room was clean and all worked fine.

Breakfast was a buffet with a reasonable selection of items.

Overall it is better than the average Ibis.

IBIS is a chain, they have standards to meet, so you know what to get. It's clean, it's standartd, it's functional. it is not a cosy romantic hotel in the heart of a historic town. for us it was perfect!
