The seafood was so fresh it may have only jumped from the sea. The staff were busy but welcoming. We had to wait in the square across the road till our names were called - it was hot so we got a couple of beers and took shade under the tress. So glad we waited.

The food here are over-seasoned. We ordered sardines and squid among the 5 dishes, all are oily and salty, the chefs have a blank palette. Never visit this place at least you have a blank palette as well.

Everything I'd read about this place was true. Small, crowded, loud and raucous. Just plain fun. If you had told me that I'd be eating whole grilled sardines I'd have said “no way”, but fortunately the people at the next table had ordered them and they looked so good covered with garlic that I couldn't resist. Two orders of them later and I still can't stop thinking about how delicious they were. And after all, trying the local specialties is what travel is all about. Make sure you have the bombas too. Look for the brown door with the queue.

This was our first food stop on our trip to Barcelona and it did not disappoint! Went after recommendations from here and were not let down!

Service was great - attentive and friendly. Our waiter was very happy to suggest options for us to eat, but stopped us when we tried to order too much. The Bomba were delicious as was the Morcilla - the bar was a nice blend of locals and tourists with an authentic blackboard for a menu. Felt very comfortable as non-Spanish speakers and had a lovely good value meal... may well go back tomorrow!
