The apartment is centrally located, near a couple of Metro stations and bus stops, in a low-key, neighborhood with lots of small cafes, restaurants and stores. Easy to get to any location in the city. The building has a nice, modern entrance. The apartment is on the second floor (1st in Spain). When you enter, you get a faint smell of cigarettes, but your nose gets used to it, and it's not that bad. Its not a new apartment, but well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable, and kitchen is adequately equipped for simple things, though we never cooked. (Why would you do that, when the city is full of awesome restaurants?) In the morning, you can just go to the cafe next door, and get a great cappuccino and pastries. The bathroom is small, but works OK. I just wish it had a ventilation fan. It get steamy and stuffy, and there is no way to keep the door open except by propping it with a chair or something heavy. I also wish there were trash cans in the bathroom and other rooms. The only one is under the kitchen sink, and that makes it hard to keep the place clean. Overall, my sons and I had a great time in Barcelona.
