This is a large green space with a beautiful fountain - unfortunately out of water when we were there as it was early season i guess. There are lots of places to sit and rest and some pretty plants - a pleasant respite from the crowds!

I came here last week and I was lucky to have some gorgeous weather - was able to spend ages in the park and watch the world go by.
Lovely lake, statues, and flowers everywhere.

A really nice park, the fountain and the lake are amazing! The trees are beautiful and you can easily spend the whole afternoon walking around the park.

Built as a centre piece to the great exhibition that Barcelona hosted to great reward at the start of c20 the park area was retained after the removal of the pavilions and absorbed into the citiscape.

Contains numerous follies and notably the triumphal arch in red brick, a boating lake with many ducks, a central band stand that has well attended and free brass performances and a rather sad city zoo.

Cyclist and roller bladers abound and it forms a convenient cut through from the grid iron wide roads to the north back into the old city. At weekend the Catalan families come out in their fine clothes to stroll and chat.
