A huge park with great photo opportunities. :) We just walked randomly and were amazed by the nature. At the top there is the olympic park, free to walk around. At the bottom Fundacio Joan Miro. There is also Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya with a great view over the entire city and free on saturday afternoons. :) Bring a blanket, books and snacks and enjoy the park.

High on Montjuic hill, this park is beautifully manicured and maintained. From this hill you can also have the best view of Barcelona whole city.

an intersting little castle, but well worth a visit as the sightseeing is great, would have benefitied from a little more avaialble histrical presentations, but still worth a visit.

we took a funicular from Espanya and then a bus to the castle. the transportation system is well connected and reasonable as we had a tmes card which allows unlimited travels within a particular zone in the city. once you reach the castle, the view from the top is amazing. not much to do over there other than appreciate the view and take lots of pictures. there is a museum inside the castle as well though we did not visit it. carry water if possible and wear comfortable shoes as there are a few flights of stairs to be climbed to reach the top of the castle. you get a beautiful view of the harbour from the castle.
