Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Next time will spend a whole day.”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

We only had an afternoon there but it is the kind of place that one could easily hang for the day. Great place for people watching, listening to live music with Spanish guitarists and singers busking and a fabulous view over Barcelona.
Another masterpiece of Gaudi to behold and experience.

“Relaxing stroll”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

A relaxing walk around the park taking in the architecture and getting away from the city. I took the Valcarca metro exit and walked up the hill, aided by escalators

“Must see”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

As all of Guell's works, it is a must see. Not a park for kids to run around without being careful as it is all stone.

“Worth It”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

We visited the Parc Guell post cruise in May 2011. I had a touch of a stomach bug, but we had one day left in town, and we really wanted to vist the park...I'm so glad I pulled it together and went. The park is a once in a lifetime experience. Gaudi's architecture is breath taking, and you're really able to immerse yourself in his vision (even more so than Sagrada Familia). A lot of locals were there too, so it was fun to see how Barcelonians (?) spend their afternoons. I am hoping to return one day...
