We went to Cruix for a light dinner, after deciding not to go with the 10 course tasting option. We shared the cod churros, duck crocquetas (which were insanely delicious), the fish tartar and the garlic prawns with rice. Whilst the portions here are a lot smaller than most other restaurants and more costly, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Cruix. The staff were very friendly, and to top the meal off we had the bad day at the beach dessert and the apple tarte Tatin which was incredible. I’d recommend this restaurant for a different take on tapas, everything is beautifully cooked and presented.

Expensive and absolutely not tasty. I don't understand a lot of good reviews about this place. Small portions and no tasty.

Had a beautiful 10 course tasting menu for just 28 euros, don't know how they do it at that price and keep the service great and friendly. Highly recommended!

What a way to start our visit to Barcelona! From beginning to end, everything about the evening was nothing short of perfect.

Upon entering we were warmly greeted, and despite not having a reservation, they were able to fit us in- by the time we finished our evening it had become rather busy.

After an explanation of the menu, we decided upon the set tasting menu, giving us the chance to taste the favourites of CruiX. With every dish which came out the hosts provided an explanation, along with the best way to eat it. Whilst all of the dishes went down a treat the standouts were the Duck Croquettes and the Cod Goujons with Aioli Mousse, which was so light and delicate.

The tasting menu also included 2 deserts of which our favourite was 'A Bad Day on the Beach'. The concept behind this was lovely and sums up an experience anyone with an ice cream will have suffered/hopes won't happen at some point.

To summarise, a cosy atmosphere, delicious food and amazing hosts who brought the whole evening together. If you are ever in Barcelona, ensure you pay a visit!
