Superb dining experience at thks traditional posh Spanich seafood restaurant. The service from waiters who have worked there for 25 years was outstanding. Food was excellent, would not know where to start me tio ing all delicious dishes. Don't miss a bottle of Pago de Carraovejas

Went to this place because SIL thought it was same restaurant she ate in years ago, well as soon as we were seated in nearly empty room knew it was a mistake and confirmed when we saw menu prices. You simply do not have to pay this much for great seafood in Santander, not to mention asparagus for 20E. Food was very good but we curtailed choices, wine list more reasonable. Next table loud business people on expense account, apparently that's who eats here. Frankly we were disappointed we missed an opportunity for great dining experience in this town.

Too expensive for such a poor quality and bad service. Waiters were not really nice and the food was reheated.
Visit Del Puerto if you want to be scammed.

The interior of this resturant is impressive. There are some wonderful art works including models of all of the winners of the Americas Cup up to 1977 in the paneling round the walls. The fish was great but the soup was a disappointment. The service in the elegant resturant was outstanding. However, the service in the bar was rude and abrupt which was unfortunate given the quality of the restaurant upstairs. The location is superb and the bill was surprisingly good value. Well worth a visit and I will return.

We ate at this restaurant because it was Michelin recommended - centrally located and seemed to have quite a buzz about it. However overall it was quite a disappointing experience. The staff were amazing and helpful but all in all the whole experience including the food just felt very dated. We were hoping for a tasting menu or similar gastronomy but what we found was very little difference to what we had eaten elsewhere - however not quite as good and much more expensive. Probably worth a drink downstairs but if you are looking for a good night out it would not be top of my list in this fantastic city. We had some fabulous food whilst we were staying in this area - unfortunately not here on the night we visited.
