I do not usually write reviews but this place deserves one. The staff are the most unfriendly, ignorant people I have had the displeasure to meet in a hotel, they did not even say hello or thank you once - just glare at you, if they acknowledge at you at all. In fact they make the whole atmosphere very uncomfortable. They seem to forget you are giving them business. Unfortunately, because the wifi does not work in the room I had to sit downstairs in the same room with the staff to get online. The breakfast is a joke, two slices of toast (horrible bread) just literally dumped on the table by that miserable owner, or the two teenage girls (Who despite having 8 yrs of English lessons, as Spanish kids do, pretended they could not even understand 'hello' or just glared at you if you said'Ola!). As for the neighbourhood, if you don't mind being barked at by dogs every house you walk past then this is for you. The Alsatian in the yard of the house across the street barks all day. There are no shops around unless you want to walk about 20 mins to a retail park. As for the house it was quite clean, but towels were not replaced even though I left them on the floor. The decor looks like the some crazy gothic nightmare. I had a hideous picture of a crazy cyclops throwing a massive rock at the end of my bed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I have stayed in Santander for business many times. I only got a room here because everywhere else was full because of the festival (what a surprise). Everywhere else I have stayed the people are very friendly and value your custom. try for example the Jardin Secreto.

What a lovely place to stay! Very helpful staff, lovely attic room, sea view ( if you stand on a chair and peer through the Velux window) The house is very typical of the area and the garden very pleasant to sit in. It has a vaguely hippy feel about it!
It is situated in a very quiet residential area (apart from the barking dogs!) The entrance is by electronic gates so very safe for leaving the car.

Room Tip: If you want the sea view it's up 3 flights of stairs!
