When we arrived at Santa Cruz we were initially horrified as we had booked a room at the Hotel Oceano and this hotel was closed for refurbishment! However, the hotel Atlantico was only a couple of doors away and were obviously expecting us! The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Accommodation was bed and breakfast and breakfast was taken on the roof terrace which was very pleasant.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms would be at the back overlooking the small courtyard.

Excellent position , close to all interesting area of capital!!
Room no so large but clean. No shampoo in the bath room and not a satisfactory assistance to reception desk where not any simple city map was available!!
Breakfast like sanatorium and low level ingredients.
The price is perfect but a little improvement in the management could be really accepted! No wifi in the room but only at seventh floor and terrace.

Room Tip: Street view because the inside courtyard wiew room are really poorly lighted due to an useless tent!!

Stayed here a week in February and found it, as others have said, to be a clean and useful place as it's so near the main square, shops and restaurants. It was bed and breakfast only and the food got a bit boring after a couple of days as it was always the same - toast and jam or a cheese and ham toastie, a hard-boiled egg, yoghurt and tinned peaches, plus tea or coffee. The staff were helpful and cheerful. As someone else has said it's a bit gloomy inside but it's understandable in a hot climate - you keep the sun at bay - except for the 8th floor terrace where you can see out over the rooftops to the mountains (and get free wifi).

We stayed one night in Atlantico. Our room was huge and clean, but they don't have WiFi in rooms.

We had problems with our wine bottle (we didn't have an opener) but the receptionist helped us :-) He was always really helpful!

Breakfast was ok, it was served to the table. Staff is very frienly there too!

Location: good, in a pedestrian street near Plaza Espana, no traffic noise.
Staff: helpful
Breakfast; you get a plate of pre-prepared food, ref. photo. Average.
Wi-fi: Only in the dining area on 8th floor. Worked fine.
Room: Here is the troubled bit: I had an internal room. There are approx 10 rooms on each floor, 2nd - 7th floor. 6 of these rooms are "interior" and 4 are "exterior". My room (and I believe all the others) had no mechanical ventilation, so my window had to stay open. The windows are facing an internal yard cube of 25-30 square metres, and a total of 6 windows x 7 floors (= 42 rooms) were facing the same area. So you could easily hear all sorts of human activities, and TV-channels. Some People don't seem to care that they have neighbours.
Each window had an awning, to keep you in a sort of privacy, so the rooms were very dark.
It was fairly quiet between 12 midnight and 06 am though.

Room Tip: "I would not recommend "interior" room. Go for "exterior".
