The Auditorium in Palma is the place for different shows such as musicals, theatre and concerts. The big hall has very good acoustics. It is also the home of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, which is of the highest quality. I have had the opportunity to listen to them in this hall for more than ten years, twice this March, and it has always been a great pleasure!

The magnificent Auditorium de Palma has one of the largest, if not The largest stages in the whole of Spain! Every seat of this 2,000+ capacity theatre/concert hall is comfortable, spacious and has an unrestricted view of the stage. Musicals, Zazuelas, Recitals, Orchestral concerts and Ballets are regularly presented throughout the year. Operas are to be performed in the Historic Teatro Principal during the Festival de Opera Season in the Spring.
Forthcoming events include Ballet de Moscow with Swan Lake and the St Petersburg Festival Ballet with their production of Giselle. A musical version of Disney's 'Frozen' is also due.
The smaller Sala de Mozart in the same complex presents chamber works, visiting drama companies and the vibrant and talented local amateur groups also perform in this space.
Years ago I attended a performance of Swan Lake by the renowned Kirov Ballet, also a remarkable performance by Mercia Esmeralda and her flamenco company of 'Medea', set in the 1920's with a Mediterranean ambience! It was unforgettable - the standing ovation at the end lasted 15 minutes! And most were in tears (including yours truly!)
As usual, give yourself plenty of time to get to the venue as the bars and foyers get very busy...
Whatever you choose to see, booking ahead is essential as productions tend to sell out quickly!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Thank Eric H

Visited the Auditorium to see Tricicle last night and what a beautiful Theatre it is. Fabulous seating ensures everyone has good view of the stage and the acoustics are excellent. An amazing programme of events are hosted there.
