Please ignore the few that have put this down. Look at my pictures. Its an exquisite well appointed hotel, with smart uniformed, helpful staff. Our room had a shower over bath, toilet, bidet and basin in a room that is the largest we've seen in a hotel! Approx 3m square. The hall has wardrobes in delicious quality red wood leading to the bedroom/desk area. Above the desk is a 50"? Led tv, below is minibar. Twin beds opposite and small balcony overlook back street from room 314. Floors are marble or porcelein tiles throughout hotel and room. Art deco/ stone statue iron railings/baulastrade. Room was cleaned daily.

We were here over a weekend. The location near the city centre and Santa Catalina is very convienient. The hotel also has parking for EURO 8. Some roads face a busy road and it can be noisy. There is a nice breakfast and complimentary WIFI. The staff do not seem very friendly or helpful. We left the key inside our room which we though happens a lot but we got a very angry look from the girl at reception. Then the cleaning lady could not open the room and she too seemed to be mad at us! So did not really felt welcome. Probably would not return - a bit pricey for the level of service.

Reasonably well located for shops and sights although immediate vicinity is a bit run down. Booked a superior room ( supposed to come with robes&slippers but we had to ask for them)and while it was fine I dread to think what the standard rooms are like. Lots of wood panelling, curtains that wouldn’t close and window that wouldn’t open and a large framed oil painting of choir boys on the wall??
Breakfast was buffet and while it included everything you might need some of it looked a bit tired possibly making an appearance on successive days.
On the positive side, rooms were very clean and staff very friendly.

Room Tip: Higher the better as there is a fair bit of traffic noise

We came to stay for 4 nights at the Continental and had a great time and experience. Hotel is in a very good location for visiting the main tourist points with the harbour and old town both just a short walk away. Our bedroom was very spacious and enjoyed the walk in shower. The breakfasts were fabulous and would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely large twin bedroom and very spacious bathroom. Well located for where we wanted to be which was the Santa Catalina district. Very clean room and public areas, and staff friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night which was fine. I probably wouldn't stay here for a week as the restaurant and bar is soulless and empty. No real atmosphere - we only saw one other couple at breakfast. I don't even think the hotel has a pool so it's not a hotel you'd stay in to relax for a holiday - but for what we wanted it was fine.
Lots of amazing restaurants and bars to choose from in Santa Catalina. Easy walking distance to the old town of Palma.
