This hotel is extremely well situated as previous reviewers have mentioned. Easy access to beaches and into the old part with lovely restaurants. However, make sure that if anyone books a room for 3 people (adults) that you are happy with a sofa bed blocking the use of the "lounge" area. We requested 3 single beds for our party of 3 adults - they just did not comprehend that, yes it was a very nice room, junior suite, but that if the bed was actually put in the bedroom then the "lounge" area could be used! The Hotel was clean and the breakfasts good although the staff could have appeared happier in their jobs! All in all a good choice but we are still having a tussle with the management regarding some issues. Beware, if you need a taxi dont ask the reception to book one, although they advertise this service, the taxi rank is a mere distance from the front door and that is where you will be sent!!!!!

Room Tip: Ensure when booking for 3 adults request 3 beds! Room 602 was a junior suite and very quiet and well...

This was the 5th time we have stayed at the Mirador. It is located opposite the marina and has the most perfect views of the sea and a myriad of boats and ships.

From its location you can walk to just about anywhere in central Palma or beyond and there are restaurants and bars all on your doorstep.

Breakfasts are superb and the view from the terrace is second to none and staff throughout are friendly.

Not a place to take young children as they are unlikely to survive were they to attempt crossing the busy dual carriageway and if they did then they are most probably going get run over by the cyclists on the busy custom cycle track or failing that could fall into the sea as there are no protective barriers. So it's a perfect spot for couples or older people like ourselves who keep coming back to the quaint but old fashioned Mirador.

15mins taxi ride from the airport - central to the Harbour, this hotel is ideal for a short break, but dont expect a quick nip to the beach of a leisurely swim in the hotel pool!!!! We requested (as advised by another tripadvisor reviewer) to request a balcony/terrace room - and we were not disapointed by our 8th floor sea facing double terraced spacious room for 3 adults. Beds were comfy, wardrobe had plenty of room and all was clean and tidy. We only used the mini bar fridge for chilling our wine/water - no tea coffee facilities in room (so bring your own kettle) if you like an in-room brew!

While the maid came every day - and the room was left tidy - the floors were never swept, and especially under the bed which was thick of dust. Rooms were very quiet - maybe soundproofed which was great for a good nights sleep. LOVED the views of the harbour and not really any traffic noise to complain about (for a light sleeper)

We had booked Half Board - breakfast was 7.30-11am which was great, as one could have a lie in, the fruit looked a bit sorry and was swimming in thick syrup :( however the breads and cooked breakfast were nice and was lovely to eat out on the terrace in the morning sun. We ate ONE meal in the evening in the hotel and never went back!!!!!! We found many lovely restaurants along the harbour to eat and prices were pretty standard.

We took a bus into Palma Nova to the beach - OMG Blackpool in the sun!!! The beach was nice, again loads of bars/tavernas/restaurants to eat at, however we bailed out as the sun set, not really our scene, but an experience nontheless!

We took a boat trip which was fun, Porto Pi for a bit of window shopping and took the Sightseeing Hop on Hop off, Tour Bus round Palma to get a good handle of the history which was great, some fantastic architecture, buildings and again bars/restaurants in different parts of Palma.

One disapointing part of the hotel was the lack of outdoor pool...the indoor pool is tiny (seriously!) only one person at a time could try to swim in it...although there is jacuzzi, sauna and a teeny tiny gym in the spa area. The outdoor pool of the sister hotel over the road - out the back of the hotel, Hotel Armador could be used by Mirador guests, but again TINY pool & sunbathing area...so pretty pointless really (we counted 4 kids in the pool and 10 adults round the terrace and it was full!!!) No more loungers. If you wish to go to the sister hotel be sure to ask reception as this is not readily told to guests!! Just get a bus to the nearest beach, spread out and relax.

Id recommend this hotel for a stop over, short break or business traveller....you would not want to be here for a week (we stayed 4 nights) which was plenty. The constant smell of stewed food in reception - in the lifts - and low level corridors was gross. Its quite an oldy worldy hotel despite the rooms being modern. Lots of dark furniture, dark dreary looking paintings, a strange lift situation - one lift takes you to floor 4 - then you have to cross the corridor/up stairs to the next lift to take you to level 8/9 ?!

Staff were ok - bit miserable looking, no greeting smiles, im sure they work very hard but personally we found them not to be very welcoming, although what ever we requested or asked we were assisted.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony/terrace for the best views

We booked into Mirador for 1 night before our cruise out of Palma. It was an excellent location approx 20mins from the airport/15 euros by taxi and walking distance to the port but with luggage we recommend a taxi. The hotel staff were very friendly and stored our luggage until they had our room ready which was still ready earlier than expected due to us taking an early flight in.
Room was high floor and had to take 2 lifts and a staircase to it which isn't sensible for a couple with a baby plus buggy but the porter took our luggage up without asking so didn't mind too much. As we were only here for 1 night it wasn't an issue.
Room was spacious enough for travel cot(hotel provided) plus big bed, seating and our buggy didn't need to be folded so this was great.
Breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of choice of food and the views of the harbour from the breakfast room were very nice.
The hotel is close to Palma Port and sights plus restaurants, markets, shops and bars.

Room Tip: Familes request low floors
