A decent, well maintained, super clean hotel located nearly 4-5 kms from the old town. My room had great city views. A taxi from the bus station costed 10-13 Euros. This place is located up a hill called the Mount Igeldo so be sure to carry your walking shoes. Breakfast is 12 Euros - wide selection of breads, cheeses, fruits, scrambled eggs and the usual continental fare - unfortunately except for the cakes - the menu doesnt change much :( .... I had stayed for seven nights
The pool is very pretty - alas the week I was there nobody was using it due to the rains
Parking is available.
Service is polite - They gave me a spare umbrella for the entire week !! Helped out in ordering the taxis and for local info
Only issue was at the end of the stay at the time of bill payment - just a billing mistake which the staff promptly rectified although without a smile
They serve small items - snacks & drinks till 2130 hrs
The staff help out in ordering takeaways from nearby pizza places (Telepizza)
Nearest restaurant is just next doors called the Rekondo - expensive but with arguably the best wine cellar in town.
Nearest bus stop called La Sirena is a 5 minutes walk - bus number 16 from the boulevard reaches this place. ...the bus turns -up once in 30-45 minutes.
Nearest beach is the Ondaretta. Also one can walk up to the Wind comb sculptures at the end of this beach.
Negatives - Small rooms compared to the prices (about 150-170 euros) Sound proofing of the rooms - I could hear my neighbours walking up the stairs and the toilet flushes were annoying !!

Room Tip: Most rooms offer a city view

Location difficult to find, travel to end of most westerly beach to find signpost to hotel which is at the top of a very steep hill for walking. No bars/restaurants nearby except 20 minutes walk/5 minutes car. Immaculate reception, terrace, breakfast room, cannot understand there is no bar or restaurant with its views over city. Book a front room for the views. Free on site parking, recommended with car

if you visit us again, do not hesitate to ask for our "Restaurants lis"t that we recomend to try to help you to find the best options for you.

Although an older property, and not upscale, I loved this hotel! The rooms facing the city are super bright with big windows, and the view from the oddly decorated lobby lounge area and breakfast room below are fab. I wish I'd gone in the pool; those who did were clearly enjoying it. Walk into the city was good exercise- 10 minutes down the hill. Breakfast acceptable. Desk help very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. Loved the city!

The hotel is not very close to the old town..it's more than 3km away....but in a cute and well served area (monte igeldo).
At the beginning this put me off since the double room was 190euro.
The size of the room is quite small and the look old fashioned.
Besides this, I suppose is quite good for the super expensive San Sebastián!
