Great location, easy parking at a nearby garage (pay per 24 hours, then card is multi-entry, go to hotel first to get access card)

My family and I checked into El Moderne 3/18 with reservations for six nights. At 2:30 am we were alerted of the initial travel ban that entry to the US would be restricted in two days. I immediately booked return flights out for the same morning. This hotel only charged us one night for each room booked even I didn't request it. That was extremely generous. Especially considering all travel buisnesses are experiencing financial hardship.
But, even with out this above and beyond gesture, I really loved this hotel. It is elegant, quiet, comfortable, and well located. The staff so very pleasant. After check in, my sister requested information for a nearby vegitarian restaurant which was helpfully provided. None of us speak much Spanish, so the graciousness in speaking English was much appreciated.
I really cant say enough about the El Moderene Hotel. It's wonderful and I certainly hope to check in again in the future

At the Hotel El Moderne, the name really is a promise. It starts in the very nice and stylish Lobby and also the elevators and the hallways on every floor ist in a very modern and Hipp color and material design. My suite has a nice two part layout with the entrance area with a toilet and sink right there, before you get to the lounge area, with a comfortable sofa, a fauteuil, a working desk and a 42“ flatscreen TV. Around the corner you get into the bedroom with a large king size bed, another wall mounted 42” flatscreen, a rather small closet with some hanging and shelve space and a safe inside. From the bedroom it goes directly into the open plan vanity area, with a single sink, ample surface and shelf space and the large, partial closed shower with a very fine rain shower head. Wifi and AC are standard, but I missed a fridge and some kind of coffee/kettle facilities in the room. Despite the nice and good quality of the materials, colors and design, I was disappointed about the windows, that are far from soundproof, which should be standard these days after a extensive renovation.
The breakfast is served in the very nice designed and furnished Bar/Restaurant on the ground floor and looks and tastes amazing.
Reduced daily parking rates (€13.70) can be obtained through reception for the nearby (150m)harbor parking.
