Review of El Rincon de Costa

El Rincon de Costa
Ranked #262 of 1,696 Restaurants in Zaragoza
Price range: US$12 - US$35
Cuisines: Spanish
Description: Hand Noah Prades and the founders of El Rincon in 1992, Javier Martin and Azucena Blasco, The Corner Group, qu born and currently has two open to the public. In El Rincon you will find a different and current offer, respecting the traditional recipes, backing the Spanish cuisine, home cooking using fresh quality products, cooked to order as tapas or rations. Eating small portions is not unique to our country, the French have the canapes, Italian the cicchetti, Anglo snacks and if we look to Asia the list is endless, dim sum, shusi, springs rolls, wok ... But the concept of Spanish tapas as we understand it is something unique to our land. Whether the Madrid lid, usually seen as a small operation and which originally served to protect the beer putting the dish as a '' cap '' over the glass, or when the ration takes a stick and called spike, typical of Navarre and the Basque country. For the Andalusians cap is a tradition and Catalan is '' the picadeta ''. Each region calls it in different words, but with the same meaning, replace the food, good company talks between bites and sips of beer , wines, ciders, txacoli, Albarino, fine or drink endless forms that exist in each region, because that is the essence of tapas, the infinite variety of products featuring our lands.

Excellent small café for coffee and light breakfast. Good friendly service and in expensive. Trendy look and plenty of choice if you were hungry.

For dinner, we walked across the street from our hotel and ate at El Rincon de Costa – a casual tapas restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating areas. The service was a little slow, but the quality and variety of dishes made up for the wait. Not sure of the reasoning behind the unusual display of dishes on the wall.

Only had a white wine and a croqueta out on the terrace, but it was very slow service. Croqueta was crispy and full of flavour.

I was visiting the city and having dinner with some locals. They choose this place for us and I was delighted: fresh food, tasty and good experience. We were recommended to have the tuna (very good!) and the little cuttlefish, besides burrata and cheese.
White wine was wonderful.
Good service, despite being a Tuesday (it was quiet).

This was located right across from our hotel and, as a group of 14, 10 of us went there for a tapa snack during one afternoon. The tapas were great but their "Tuna" was simply over the top, amazing! Tasted like "O Toro" from Blue fin tuna belly...!
