This hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of Seville within walking distance of all the major sights. It is in a very small, narrow street and has its own restaurant but there are numerous lovely restaurants and bars nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and able to answer all our questions.
The room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with a very soft bed and effective air conditioning. It was on the top floor with sunbeds on the roof terrace outside.
The cental courtyard was even prettier than in hotel photos and there are rooms on two or three floors surrounding this. We had three glorious days in Seville and the hotel really contributed to this.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very quiet boutique hotel located in the heart of old Seville, and within walking distance of most of beautiful Seville's key points of interest. And walking is what you do, vehicular trafic is totally impractical in this area. Staff communicated well in English. Cost was half the price of other hotels we considered in the city, hence it seemed to be a good value. This was a very good choice for a stay in Seville, having come rather highly recommended on Trip Advisor. We also enjoyed and recommend the excellent local cuisine served at the adjacent El Rey Moro Restuarant.

We stayed in a family room with our teenager for one night at the end of April and we were all delighted with it. The hotel is accessed from a narrow laneway typical in the area & once inside it opens out into a leafy courtyard with a water feature and garden tables. This is surrounded on three sides by a series balconies which are edged with vibrant trailing geraniums. Access to the balconies is by stairs or lift and access to the bedroom is directly from the balcony. Each bedroom has its own patio area on the balcony with tables & chairs, a perfect spot for a drink or a quiet read. The air-conditioned bedrooms are charming & pretty and the bathroom is well equipped with everything you'd expect, including a hairdryer. There's a TV.

We were hot & bothered when we arrived - in thirty degree heat our car sat nav had taken us round and round in circles (mostly wrong way on one-way streets!). We had to phone to hotel to say "HELP!" and they really couldn't have done more to help. They were absolutely outstanding. The immediate effect of the courtyard is cool, calm and tranquil and we were happy to linger on our patio for a while. I was amazed at how quiet night time was! - we live in the countryside with nothing around for miles, and it was as though I was home.

So now I know, the best place to park is the Carpark is beside the JARDINES De MURILLO on the AVENIDA MENENDES PELAYO. It cost 18euro for 24 hours.

We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant at all so we can't comment on that.

The only possible negative thing I could say is that when we came back for the night about midnight, my husband fancied a night-cap from the drinks cabinet which is on view near the lifts, but since the restaurant was closed they were unable to serve. They did give us complimentary water though.

We paid 169euro for a family room and would happily return.

I chose the Rey Moro hotel on the basis of several travellers reviews found online, because I judge this the most objective way to form my own opinion prior to the trip.
Possibly for the very first time, I was profoundly disappointed by the reality of this hotel as opposite to the image that I had got. The reputation this hotel somehow got on the web is definitely deceiving, as this is what it is: little more than a hostel, furnished cheaply in some supermarket for interiors decoration in the outskirts of town, pulling together an array of different things, from the recycled old tea-table to the plastic chair, from the fake-leather white bed-board to the plywood cupboard that trembles and oscillates everytime you touch it.... The 'moresque' style inner court is as a matter of fact only half of a court, a horseshoe facing a plain wall above which a rather disarmonic and neglected ensemble of constructions without appeal. On one corner of the same courtyard is a desolate piece of furniture possibly used from time to time as a 'bar', beside which some room is used as a recharging point for seg-ways. No other common spaces, apart from a little room where the best facilities of the whole place are to be found: free internet access with printer and a minifridge with mini-water bottles at clients disposal. Rooms can be small to the point of having you 'walk like an egyptian' - but I am sure some must be bigger and better, price following surface... By the way, price is not exactly cheap, if at an advange rate of 95 euros for the singlle they do not even give you breakfast, which is anyway a continental style buffet served in Murillo hotel on the opposite side of the alley. So here is the problem: the hotel is not unsustainably BAD - it is not even the worst I've ever seen - but it is definitely NOT what it is misleadingly presented to be.

The title says it all. Nicely appointed room with a very comfortable bed. The sound of the fountain in the courtyard is soothing. Quiet area at night. I reported a minor problem to the front desk shortly after checking in. The person at the desk was at my door within 2 minutes and problem was taken care of. Met 4 different folks behind the reception desk throughout my stay at the end of April 2010. All had smiles and were very courteous and friendly. Yes, it's a bit tricky to find, but well worth it. Loved this hotel. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
