Wow. I've stayed in a fair few hotels around Europe and the El Rey Moro is right at the top of the best of them.
The room was good, the bed was wonderful (I often struggle with hotel beds - this was almost better than home!), the bathroom was stocked with every eventuality, but the main part of the hotel is its patio and it's reception.
Seville (in case you're not aware) is seriously hot in August and as you walked in to the hotel you are met by the cool of the air-con, and a beautiful fragrance of perfume (jasmine?) and a reception desk where they will serve you with quiet, calm and efficiency.
And the patio is stunning - simply stunning.
This hotel surpassed every hope I had for it. Utterly wonderful.
