This is a good base for a short break. The hotel is easily accessible using public transport. Staff were very helpful and the room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. All toiletries required were in the room if you are travelling with a small case. As we got a good deal on the room rate we did not want to lose these savings on the somewhat pricey bar and restaurant bills. However just around the corner were ample choice of bars and cafes where the locals eat. We had a good breakfast for two here for about 5 euros. We are planning to use the hotel again when we visit Seville with friends in the spring.

This hotel is easy to find from main ringroad and it about 1 1/2 miles from city centre. Hotel rooms are okay with plenty of choice of tv channels. Breakfast 5 star and available to 11am. Pool area and gardens well kept. Only fault would be excessive bar prices at £5 for 2/3rds of a pint . It's one straight walk to city centre , despite what people say it is easy walkable but maybe not recommended if have some beers. Only one or two local bars near by on opposite side of road ( go down steps and turn right). At £250 for 4 nights double room with breakfast I consider this great value. Also nice firm matress which for me is vital.

Room Tip: hire a car at £40 for days which works out cheaper than two taxi trips. Plenty of free parking around hotel.

Stayed here in September.
Room basic but clean. Bathroom excellent facilities. Good air conditioning.Communal areas spacious and spectacular. Staff friendly and most spoke good english except waitresses. Food excellent would recommend the self service restaurant morning and evening - amazing choice. Half board well worth considering - however obtain notification from desk for dining room staff or you risk getting charged ! Pool clean and nice surroundings but drinks & ice creams expensive. Taxis to cathedral (entrance was free on the Tues we went) is reasonable if metered.

Bus travel - on leaving the airport exit turn left to the only bus stop (every twenty minutes), E2.4 to terminus, where you will find the Real Betis stadium bus waiting E1.2 - the hotel is same stop and three minutes walk away.

Hotel Silken Al-Andalus is good for it's price. Breakfast is very good, with many different fruits available, for example. We had good nights sleep, the room had a good size, was clean and comfortable. The negatives: our magnetic keys did not work properly, the lobby was quite busy and loud, despite being very big. The additional main benefit for the Al-Andaluz is having a parking for guests with cars. But to visit the main places you have to leave the car at the garage as it's extremely difficult to park at the main attractions of Seville. When we go bak to seville- since we were there for a short stay, I'd rather stay in the old part of Seville. Tha's just a personal conclusion.

Room Tip: Make sure your keys are well magnetized.

We stayed there for a few days during the 2010 Feria de Sevilla and then a couple more on our way back from Morocco, and sojourned at Silken Club rooms (for which you pay a supplement). The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms of good size. Service was attentive, although the reception was sometimes a bit slow. During the Feria days there were free buses to the center, and free fino sherry and chips at the reception, a nice touch. Having access to the Silken Club lounge was advantageous, because you can always have a snack there or even breakfast for free, aside from free access to computers and internet. That being said, some small details of the rooms could have been better taken care of (like a piece of broken furniture in one of our rooms or a small colony of ants wondering through our things in other --nothing major though and, in our opinion, the service compensated for them). It is true that the hotel is a little off the center (near the Seville Soccer Club Stadium), but there is a bus line very close by that is very convenient and going to the center was a nice and brief ride (so you do not need to drive). In addition, there is a lot of free parking place outside the hotel, so you can avoid the per-day hotel’s parking fee if you would like. The hotel has a beautiful huge and full of light reception area, and a garden with a pool and bar outside are also nice. Not particular nice views from the rooms though since, aside from the hotel gardens, the views are either to the highway (which takes you to the Seville airport and is on the back) or to industrial parking lots. There are supermarkets near by too. Altogether (and taking into account standard rates --because during the Feria everything costs much more--) the Silken Al-Andaluz was a very good choice for us. We would definitively stay there again.
