Worth visiting. We had time to enjoy every room at our own pace as it was not crowded. We paid extra to visit the 2nd floor and it was well worth it. The guided visit was informative and we saw some very beautiful pieces of antiques and furniture

We stumbled across this oasis - its literally just around the corner from where we are staying. As its so close, we came back to the apartment and read the T/Advisor reviews before heading going back when it was cooler.
We won't repeat the other reviews - as they accurately describe this gem. We debated about paying the extra couple of Euro's for the upstairs tour given the mixed reviews and not being able to take photos upstairs - however we paid and went on the tour.
Without a doubt, the tour is a must. Very few places in our last 4 weeks of travel in Spain and Portugal have as much antiques and personal belongings to create the feeling 'the owners have just left the building for a few minutes'.
Check what times the English tours are. There were only 6 of us on our tour in the later afternoon.

What a lovely place, devoid of a lot of tourist foot traffic! The mosaics are beautiful and I would recommend buying the €10 ticket to gain access to the 2nd floor. You can’t take photos up there but it was really beautifully furnished, interesting and full of an abundance of the Contessa’s collections. If you have a few days in Seville it’s well worth spending an hour or so there.

This is a wonderful house, which was nice and cool in the August heat. One of the nicest places we have seen in Sevilla. We paid for the private tour of the upstairs floors - well worth it. We loved the library of 6,000 books! The countess was an avid collector: there are amazing Roman mosaics, Chinese porcelains, and other artefacts. The house has lovely patios and many rooms to visit. The Roman (on the floor) and Spanish (on the walls) mosaics are amazing. We also learnt about the countess’s family (the family still owns the house and uses it at Christmas and other occasions - although you cannot visit their private quarters).

A unique experience of seeing how an intelligent, artistic elegant Lady lived in Seville. Quite atmospheric.
