We spent two nights at the Alhambra Palace Hotel. It is a lovely, Grand Hotel. Perfectly situated for a stay in Granada. We loved the spacious lounge and dining area which exudes class. The outside eating and drinking area is likewise stunning.
The staff are friendly but business like. No overt enthusiasm or friendliness.
We occupied a Suite on the lower floor. It was spacious and very well appointed. It was hard to fault.
In my opinion, what lets this Hotel down is the lack of quiet rooms. One afternoon a function was held on the floor above us so it was impossible to get any rest with the noise and constant movement of furniture on a stone floor.
But worse than this noise is easily herd from the adjacent rooms. Noises of toilets flushing and running water for showers can be easily heard. A couple arguing in the room next to us woke us at 6.00am one morning. Their voices could be easily heard. Not happy.
And one other thing. Wi-Fi is quite variable in the rooms. We couldn’t get a signal at all at various times. Rather poor from a first class, and not inexpensive, hotel.
It could be so much better and rate as one of the grandest Hotels in Europe.More
