Just got back from a week's holiday and stayed in apartmentos Bajondillo. It was a 1 bedroom studio apartment with a balcony over looking the pool and had a sea view. The hotel is across the road from the beach, litterally a minutes walk. The hotel was clean and rooms were cleaned everyday apart from Sundays. They were basic and kitchen was very small, however it was perfect for a cheap last minute budget getaway. Not the most modern hotel, but did us well. The beds and pillows were extremely comfy. Loads of restaurants on the beach front which was perfect as we were self catering and didn't want to cook every night. The hotel was a 15 minute drive to malaga airport which was great. The area is very quiet, not hustle and bustle with clubs, more for those who want a quiet holiday but also want a sunset walk to a restaurant or bar. The hotel had entertainment every night, very good for the older generation. We are a couple in our 30s and enjoyed not being at a hotel full of teenage party goers. All in all we enjoyed our stay, our only negative was that by the pool there was limited brolleys to shade from the sun, and on our last day there was no shower room to freshen up for our late night flight home after checking out at midday.

The hotel is situated perfectly, it is close to a number of bars and is directly across from the beach.

The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. And the studio room was perfect for me and my boyfriend.

Will 100% be back!

Spent 10 nights at the Bajondillo Apartments in early March. It was expensive enough but we had booked a one-bed apartment instead of a studio and paid a little over €1100.
A plus is that the Bajondillo Apartments have a complimentary pick up and drop off from the airport.

The Apartment was only adequate. Two timber panels hiding two drop down beds in the lounge area. But only two 'fireside' type chairs to sit around on, and the table and four chairs.
There was no couch, which is the first time in over 40 years travelling and spending a lot of that in apartments. No nice comfortable sit-around. Also they couldn't supply a little coffee table - we had to settle for one of the balcony outdoor tables.

As it was an apartment, essentially for families, one would expect to find a reasonable kitchen space. This kitchen was almost non-existent. It consisted of just a hob with an under-counter fridge and a sink. Nothing else, no oven of any kind and no microwave etc. Not even a kettle to boil water (we had to use a saucepan) and no teapot. It did have all the necessary cutlery and cups and plates etc.

The separate bedroom was a reasonable size and fitted out well. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment had air-con also.
The balcony was quite small with a side view towards the beach.

Bathroom was good and the shower was really good.

Our rate included breakfast, and I must praise the vast array and variety of food available
each morning until 11am. It was excellent. Because their restaurant, which is housed in a different building, is under remodelling, all of the guests had to have breakfast in the bar/cafe area, which meant that each morning there was a bit of a scramble to find a table.

There was no quiet reading area anywhere in the complex, to sit because every area of the lobby was full of people playing cards. It seems to be a magnet for card players, both visitors and locals.

Entertainment was fairly basic with just one female singer on 6 of the seven nights of the week. She was a good vocalist, but EVERY night was a bit much and no variety. The keyboard player was also a good singer.

We felt the bar/cafe staff to be not so friendly even over the 10 days stay there. The reception staff were very pleasant and very helpful at all times.

The outdoor pool area was good and there were plenty of sun beds available. They also provide really good 4inch thick soft mattresses for the sunbeds which were nice and cosy.

Overall we were disappointed with the complex and felt it overcrowded. Maybe this was because of the renovation work on the restaurant area.
The Apartment complex is just across from the beach but the town centre is up about 4 stories at the back of the Bajondillo with some steep steps - a lot of them. However, if you take a right out of the complex and left at the top of the road, there is an elevator which whips you up to the street level above. It costs just 50 cent and (unless you want the exercise) is a godsend!!!

Would I return the the Bajondillo apartments, I'm afraid I have to say no.
