Spent 10 nights at the Bajondillo Apartments in early March. It was expensive enough but we had booked a one-bed apartment instead of a studio and paid a little over €1100.
A plus is that the Bajondillo Apartments have a complimentary pick up and drop off from the airport.

The Apartment was only adequate. Two timber panels hiding two drop down beds in the lounge area. But only two 'fireside' type chairs to sit around on, and the table and four chairs.
There was no couch, which is the first time in over 40 years travelling and spending a lot of that in apartments. No nice comfortable sit-around. Also they couldn't supply a little coffee table - we had to settle for one of the balcony outdoor tables.

As it was an apartment, essentially for families, one would expect to find a reasonable kitchen space. This kitchen was almost non-existent. It consisted of just a hob with an under-counter fridge and a sink. Nothing else, no oven of any kind and no microwave etc. Not even a kettle to boil water (we had to use a saucepan) and no teapot. It did have all the necessary cutlery and cups and plates etc.

The separate bedroom was a reasonable size and fitted out well. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment had air-con also.
The balcony was quite small with a side view towards the beach.

Bathroom was good and the shower was really good.

Our rate included breakfast, and I must praise the vast array and variety of food available
each morning until 11am. It was excellent. Because their restaurant, which is housed in a different building, is under remodelling, all of the guests had to have breakfast in the bar/cafe area, which meant that each morning there was a bit of a scramble to find a table.

There was no quiet reading area anywhere in the complex, to sit because every area of the lobby was full of people playing cards. It seems to be a magnet for card players, both visitors and locals.

Entertainment was fairly basic with just one female singer on 6 of the seven nights of the week. She was a good vocalist, but EVERY night was a bit much and no variety. The keyboard player was also a good singer.

We felt the bar/cafe staff to be not so friendly even over the 10 days stay there. The reception staff were very pleasant and very helpful at all times.

The outdoor pool area was good and there were plenty of sun beds available. They also provide really good 4inch thick soft mattresses for the sunbeds which were nice and cosy.

Overall we were disappointed with the complex and felt it overcrowded. Maybe this was because of the renovation work on the restaurant area.
The Apartment complex is just across from the beach but the town centre is up about 4 stories at the back of the Bajondillo with some steep steps - a lot of them. However, if you take a right out of the complex and left at the top of the road, there is an elevator which whips you up to the street level above. It costs just 50 cent and (unless you want the exercise) is a godsend!!!

Would I return the the Bajondillo apartments, I'm afraid I have to say no.

We spent 23 nights in Jan/Feb. Spacious one bedroom with kitchenette and side view of the Mediterranean, on the west side for afternoon sun,and off the street quiet. Free airport shuttle was very convenient. Excellent location for access to the boardwalk and the sea, many restaurants and shops, and to the train and bus stations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to go back next winter.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms on the west side have afternoon sun, off the street quiet, with a good view from the balcony.

The location is perficit, across from the beach.
The hotel is starting to show its age, but there is nothing wrong with it.
The pool is not heated.
From our balcony we could see the tops of other hotels in the area, they all have Solor what appeared to be for hot water however I could not see any solar on the Apartamentos Bajondillo, for a location like this with over 300 day’s of sunlight you would think they would have solar hot water.
We could hear out neighbours televisions.
I would ask for a upper floor south exposure if I was to stay there again.
I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Upper floor south view

I stayed for 5 days in April. Free airport shuttle was convenient, especially the night flight. The room and the kitchen were nice.
The view from the balcony was great but no privacy. We could see all neighbours in the balconies.
There were lots of slopes and steps in the town so it was hard to carry luggage. Use lift, only 50 cent. Ask the staff about the life, very close.

Great hotel, just across from the beach, lots of restaurants all around, very clean and staff all friendly and helpful . We spent a week here and I could not recommend it highly enough, it’s not plush but a great spot to get away for a week.
