A good quality hotel which was more than acceptable for our family of 4. We travelled in May (UK) half-term and had a lovely time. We originally booked B&B but given the location of the hotel, we found that the seafood restaurants on the front weren't for our kids, so we decided to upgrade to AI, which costs 40 euros per adult and 20 per child per day. It was a great decision for us. The restaurant was fine and the food seemed plenty varied, however, we only had 3 evening meals during our stay so can't say what it was like for the whole week. Lunches and breakfasts were pretty similar most days, but for what we needed it was fine. They have a little kids area in the restaurant, so the kids could serve themselves, which was great. Not sure why UK comments are complaining about being biased to X or Y nation. We felt that it was a good mix of UK, German and Frech guests and the hotel catered well for all. The entertainment team were great with the kids and the hotel had things running at the front pool and most evenings from half 9 until half 10 when most families went to bed. We stayed in a family room, which was in block 2 of 3 at the far end of the property, which was about a 5 min walk (with kids) to the front pool and restaurant. The rooms can be cleaned every day if required and overall the hotel was very clean and they seemed to take great pride in making sure it was kept well.
My only negatives are;
- Location is right at the top of the resort, but we knew this before we booked and is why it was good value. It wasn't too much of an issue as we took scooters for our boys and scooted down to the main areas and got a taxi back, but you need to be mindful of this as there aren't a huge amount (if any) of none seafood-based restaurants around the hotel area.
- Hotel stipulates that you cannot reserve sun beds, but that rule is not applied. The front pool opens around 9am and any sunbeds with parasols have all gone by 9:45am at the latest, most days by half 9. People often reserve them and don't use them until mid-afternoon, which I thought was really bad and unfair on those that would, and the hotel seemed to do nothing to stop it. The rear pool opens at 10am and has the same issue, although it has fewer parasols than the front pool.
- No shower/changing room to use for those on late checkout. It is 50 euros for extending check out to 5pm, which seems high to me, and it also cannot be booked until the day of departure. The hotel could do with a room to get a wash / changed in before heading home.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and we would 100% go back. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff seemed very friendly and took pride in the state of the hotel.
