Very nice area, the price is good compared to other hotels next to it, quiet area, a 20 minutes walk to the old town, a 5 minutes walk to the beach, many supermarkets and restaurants in the area.
Dated but well maintained hotel, clean, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast with an omlette station, not much variety though. A pleasant experience overall.

Had an enjoyable week’s holiday in the Senator, the rooms were spotless, clean towels and beds made everyday . I knew when booking that we’d have a mountain view from the room but the view from the rooftop pool was spectacular. The pool could do with some attention as there are plenty of missing tiles , this didn’t stop me from having a swim everyday, I had food and drink at the rooftop bar on a couple of days and the staff and service was excellent. The staff on the front desk were just as helpful, as I had enquiries on bus timetables and the use of an iron and both times the staff were able to help me. I didn’t eat in the restaurant as I had other plans . We’ll definitely be returning next year.
A great hotel offering great value and good vibes. The staff were friendly and hospitable and I especially enjoyed the pool on the roof of the building. 10 Mins from the beach but when everything is this close it doesn't' really matter.

Having visited over 8 Playa Senator hotels in Spain,i have to say this one is the worst in that it is in need of a full reformation.
The pool is in the worst condition i have ever seen a Senator hotel..EVER.The pool floor was over 50% missing the pool tiles that were coming loose and aligning the pool edge as kids and adults were picking them up and placing them there.The Jacuzzi internal light was loose and it was just hanging loosely in there..an electrical hazard for anyone using it.The worst pool i have seen in any hotel in Europe.
The hotel looks very outdated and needs a revamp.
Only good thing was the breakfast...great quality and choice.
The check in staff were also great.
Room was a superior room which was also acceptable.
Would never return to this hotel and i thank God that we only went for 1 night for our anniversary as we would have not being able to stand more than one day at that pool...disgraceful.

The entire building needs some urgent makeover. If you like cheap-look / side of the road hotels, then the Senator hotel Marbella will be your jam. If not, avoid at all costs.
Check-in tool more than 15mn.
They are also below par when it comes to anti-covid measures - there was no hand soap in our room.
Ah, and the TV turns on unexpectedly in the middle of the night...
