I don't want to be too harsh on this campsite because we got a good deal at 15 euros a night for the eight nights we stayed which was cheaper than any other site we had stayed on in both Spain & Portugal over the past month. Also the receptionist, Natasha helped us a lot directing us to the best pitches available as this was going to be one of the Spanish festival holidays so they would be busy. Indeed the pitch we had was good and practically fully serviced, which we found ideal. So these were the plus points.

However, during Spanish holidays the site can be particularly noisy. Several times I had to disperse the youths from congregating out side our camper, who were continuously shouting and screaming at gone 1100 pm. Needless to say they were from the other end of the camp and not misbehaving on their own doorstep for obvious reasons. After two nights running having to disperse the youths myself, I decided that it was time to inform reception and security. This did help but why don't they do security patrols and do checks around the site instead of just sitting at the reception desk? Maybe they will take this on board?

Whilst the camp has many mobile home / caravan pitches there are also a lot of permanent pitches occupied by various different shanty buildings and sheeted shelters, which seem not to have any planning consent by the site owners. We saw one owner actually building a metal and wooden frame around an old caravan ready to sheet in with boards. You will not see any of these on the promotional photos on the camp website!!

Just to finish on a positive note, there is a reasonably stocked supermarket at the site entrance and the restaurant next to it serves decent meals at a reasonable price. Marbessa, which is the community village adjacent to the campsite is pleasant and has some very nice properties. pleasant to walk around. The beach though is small and stoney.

Would we stay again? possibly but with some reservations for what time of year. There is also the situation that there are not many campsites to chose from in this part of the Costa delSol

Room Tip: select the right season to stay

When I arrived I looked at the sites people was on to find a lot of them was just sheeting on poles and found that people actually live like that all year round it reminded me of a gypsy site the pool bar was closed for renovations, there was nothing to do on the site apart from going to the other bar in entrance pepes bar the beech was only 2 min walk away but not much there just a couple of bars/restaurants, the bus service was a 10 min walk away and only came every half hour of which was full most of time all in all it was a total let down holiday never again.

The camping has a great pool and the sanitary stuff was very clean.
the staff at the reception speaks german very well, that was great.

We planned to stay here for a few nights, but unfortunately we have to leave after 2 nights.

we felt like the camping is "owned" by much full time campers with their own huts.
we did not felt welcome by them, so we decided to leave.

The Camping ground stays the whole night illuminated very bright, so we had no good sleep. also that full time campers where verry noisy until midnight.

also the WiFi is very expensive (5€ per day)

Dusty camping sites, very noisy day and night, especially because of youngster gangs shouting around and meeting in mobs all around the camping grounds. We do not want to imagine how worse it will be if we had stayed in July or August when most of Spain takes its holidays...
Full bins in the toilets and showers plus blood (!) and enough hair to make a rug from on the floor of the showers! Shower temperature can not be adjusted, so too hot for our kids. No bench either to sit down and get dressed...
Good situation for the beach, but dusty/dirty sand full of cigarette butts, so not very impressed.
All in all, we would never recommend staying at this camping, and we will certainly never do again.
