A very easy to get to hotel from the Malaga Centre station it is only a short walk across the main aveneida and into the street behind the main avenue. (Airport to Malaga Centre is €1.30 and about 15 mins)
Although at one end of the main avenue it is still only a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street and all the narrow shopping streets. The main market is virtually opposite the hotel and the large El Corte Ingles store a five minute walk over the bridge.

Having reviewed here 2 years ago very favourably its only right for balance sake that I re-review now.
Basically just stayed and everything perfect apart from onme very important thing. The room this time, was very very very noisy.
I asked for a quiet room too (in perfect spanish too).
Now, for me the most important factor in getting a room for the night - is will it give you the ability to sleep?
I cant say it was a nightmare - because to have a nightmare one has to be asleep!
I was on the back - a quieter place than the main road at the front. However, rubbish trucks, streetcleaning machines and rowdy people out for a night out contributed to the noise.
When I stayed before they put me in an internal room with no external windows (there was a window to light from a internal courtyard. It was almost perfect. However it seems the majority of the rooms are on the outside (either back or front) and therefore noisy...very.
Ok I appreciate that Malaga is a noisy city, however the problem lies in bad planning when the specification was made for windows in the hotel. There exists almost totally sound proof window systems for hotels. However here theyve scrimped - and how you can tell. They simply havent tried to 'design-out', at the start, a foreseeable problem when it was renovated to a hotel.
Hence my gripe. Im not happy posting it but am also conscious that my previou s review may well influence others. Unless they can 100% promise you an internal, and therefore quiet room - be very careful.
As I said at the beginning Im loathe to post this - the staff are great, rooms clean, infact everything great.
Its just noisy.

Room Tip: ask for an internal one

The location of the hotel is ideal for anyone wanting a central location in Malaga. Just 5 minutes walk from the train station "Malaga Central" which costs just 1.50 euro from the airport. At this time of year the flight with Easy Jet from Bristol cost less than £36 return. If you look up the hotel on other booking sites it is more expensive than booking direct with them. We paid 47.50 euro per night for a double room INCLUDING breakfast for 2 people, breakfast included juice, coffee, tea, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cake, buns, rolls, ham, cheese, salami, bacon, sausages etc etc Fantastic value!! The staff were very polite and helpful and welcoming.

Although out of season, the weather was really great, around 20 degrees most days. The Christmas lights through the town were spectacular and the place came alive at night with locals shopping and eating out. The supermarket next door was so handy and very reasonable, and the foodmarket across the road was full with fresh produce, so many types of fish, meat, fruit, vegetables etc etc the almonds and ollives were delicious, especially the olives stuffed with garlic!

The hotel is ideally situated if you want to visit the Costa del Sol, but not stay in the expensive beach areas, its in easy reach of both bus and train stations that take you all over. The bus to Nerja costs around 7 euros return, the train to Fuiengirola is 4.50 euros return. The walk to the port and the beaches is lovely.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, lots of hot water and powerful shower. We didn't find it noisy but the hotel wasn't full. There was a hairdryer and mini bar/fridge but we did miss having a kettle to make early morning tea (next time will bring the travel kettle!)
There was some road noise but nothing really to complain about. The fact the hotel was in such a great central location some noise was to be expected but the positive aspects outweighed any negative.

we will definately recommend this hotel and plan to return again early next year.

We are just back from 3 nights booked through Easyjet, so we just took a chance on it based on price.

Located right beside the foodmarket in the city centre. It is easy to get to by train from the airport, and well located for all the sights and for travelling around. Room was a good size and more modern than the external appearance would suggest. There is a a fair bit of noise but what do you expect in a city centre. The La Canasta cafe is two blocks along and great for a cheap breakfast. Stayed two other hotels in Malaga in last 4 years and this the one I willgo back to.
