Seldom do I write any sort of review but the meal we had in Estepona at La Carbonara simply blew me away. And not just me. All five of us. The food was exceptional, from the seafood fettucini to the spinach and cheese ravioli. All on a different level to any Italian meal we have had either in England or even Italy.
Maurizio, the chef/owner is an engaging character, full of life and funny. Nothing funny about the cooking, simply fantastico.
I am not surprised other reviewers have raved about it. By the port, where you'd expect more touristy (and pricey) food, this place has only been open a few months but madre santissima, cannot stop talking about the meal even now when am back in England.
And his home made tiramisu was something else!
