DO NOT come here if you want a relaxing holiday. The place is OK,not four star by any means more like 2 star. Apartments are basic and the kitchens are not good, and the air conditioning is quite poor. The music by the pool is night club loud and starts at 10.30am in the morning until the early hours. I couldn't believe it but the french & Spanish guests seem to love it...weird...I had to remove my four year old from the pool a few times as the speakers are so big and the music was so loud. It should not be promoted as a family resort but a middle age crisis resort as many older dads were busting their moves to music in their speedos...not a great sight. You DO need a car in this area. Good supply of supermarkets with a Lidl just opened at the bottom of the hill. Be careful with the reception staff they are not equally trained as when we wanted internet in our room, two said free internet had just been installed in the room, the other wanted us to pay for the week??!! Also if you want late check out take it the day you arrive. we were asked if we wanted it, but said we would decide nearer the time, and when we did they said it was not available...??n Nice pool side bar, but slow service, but good menu. Entertainment is poor and just to tick the boxes, The idiot who runs it plays the same four songs all day and all night and does aqua gym, stretching and yoga really badly...and the grasp of English by all staff is pretty poor, but that is fine as it is in Spain. The spa was open but again you need to pay extra as you do for the safe and use of the gym...it seems you have to pay extra for everything....even the parking, but we parked on the road without too much problems. Ask for top floor and a room facing the mountain otherwise you will have a nightclub outside your window all day and night. Internet is poor everywhere!! The pool is big but always busy, but OK as is for families, but not enough loungers and the rules of what can be used in the pool is changed every day. On the last day no inflatables could be used at all to the dismay of all the children....but a few hours later the full was full of them.....Staff were not rude but overly polite and never really answered questions in a straightforward manner. We travelled to Marbella, Estepona and Gibraltar and so location wise it is good. If you want quiet, stay away, if you want immature entertainment then go down to the pool from 10.30am!!!

Room Tip: top floor facing the mountains

Dear guest,

Thanks for your comments. The entertainment staff make differents activities during the day respecting the relaxing hours and the night as well. All our collaborators know all conditions from this establishment like the location. It ´s 1500metres far from two supermarkets, a pharmacy and the bus stop, and 1800 metres far from a burguer, a petrol station, the closest village (Cancelada) and the beach too. When a guest try to engage to Pierre Vacances net through wifi connections, has to possibilities the PREMIUM(extra service) and the FREE one, both are available up the rooms, maybe could be a missunderstood, because is very well displayed on reception desk and in your wellcome pack too. The late check out option depends of the availability of the establishment, anyway we offer the luggage room to keep your baggage there and use all facilities before you leave.

We hope we will have the pleasure to host you again.

We stayed as a couple for 5 days in a one bedroom suite with kitchenette at this hotel/resort. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was for the central location as we planned day trips with our rental car to Malaga, Rhonda, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Estepona and Marbella. In this respect it was a perfect location. From P&V it was an hour to drive in either east, west or north to reach our final destinations.

I cannot comment on the facilities as we generally left each day and returned usually very late. Estepona was only 15 minutes away by car and there was a large Carrefour where we picked up breakfast supplies for our room. We never ate at P&V as we always found a restuarant or chiringuito.

The room was very spacious with two separate entrances to the balcony, one from the bedroom and one from the living area.

It was not difficult to find the hotel as we had researched using Google beforehand but it can be confusing depending on the road you take as an exit from the hwy. One of the roads has multiple signs but the other does not. Basically just follow whichever road you take all the way up to the end as it will curve back to the other road. P&V is at the bottom curve...At the bottom part of the "U" if you will.

We did not pay for parking at P&V as there was always ample parking outside the grounds on the residential roads. The most we ever had to walk from the car was 5 minutes. Once we found our spot the first night, we found that we always got the same spot every night.

The staff were friendly enough but they only ever seemed to have only one person at the reception during the high season of August. If you were unfortunate enough to have to wait to ask them something and there were three other people in front of you, you had no choice but to give up or wait.

If you are looking for a central base from which to make day trips to other parts or Costa Del Sol with a good comfortable room at the end of the day, then I would recommend Pierre and Vacances Estepona.

I took my two daughters aged 15 and 22 to this Hotel on my own and was very nervous as I had not been abroad on my own with them before. Upon arrival the reception Staff were excellent and explained everything about the hotel to me in English!! We were given our towels and off we went, and we were delighted when we entered our room as it was bright and so spotlessly clean!! Very spacious, with a lovely Kitchenette that had a good sized fridge and microwave as well as a 2 ring hob. The only thing missing was a kettle which meant that we had to boil water in a pan but hey ho!, The lounge area had a sofa bed already made up and a TV showing mainly Spanish programmes but with English news channels too, and there was a door off to a large bedroom with two double beds!!! The fully tiled bathroom had two sinks, a bath, shower and bidet and was gorgeous. The Hotel pool was huge and had Aqua Gym every morning, We went Half Board and Breakfast and Dinner were Buffet Style and again we could not fault it!!! I can recommend the Hotels Sangria!!! Each member of Staff wore a badge with the languages that they spoke, so it was easy to find a member of staff who spoke English!! Great idea!
The hotel is very out of the way which is what we wanted and we were made aware of this when reading description of Hotel, so if you want to venture out side of the Hotel you will need to hire a car to find anything. The reception had a small (and i mean small), area which was described as a shop, which sold coffee, wine, water and bread only (just the essentials) and the nearest supermarket is a half hour walk away. Entertainment in the Music Bar every night. All in all we loved our stay at Pierre & Vacances but don't expect to find lots to do!! :)

We just checked out of this property and we will certainly not be back.
The place is very far from everything which we were aware of having read the tripadvisor reviews and you must have a car.
It should be advertised as a family resort since the amount of children family is 99%.
It was impossible to swim in the pool because kids were everywhere in the water or diving into it.
We had a one bedroom apartment. Not bad but much worse than we thought thinking that they advertise the property as a four star hotel. In my opinion is more like a three star hotel.
The apartment was ok but a little bit oldish. Knowing that people stay for few nights they should at least provide a normal size refrigerator but the one we had was slightly bigger than a minibar. Having a kitchen, a dishwasher should be a must, but we did not have one and we had to wash the dishes by hand.
Apartments are not serviced daily and the only shower towel you receive upon check in is all you get, if you don't want to spend extra money to get new ones.
Everything costs at this place: Internet, loan of table tennis racket, loan of balls, games, computers and much more.
We did not try their restaurant since it really did not appear inviting.
Parking was ok, there are loads of cars but we always found a parking on the street along the escort or just outside so we saved €9 a day.
They advertise an indoor pool, a gym, and a spa but everything was closed.
Staff at reception wasn't rude but not nice either. Also, thinking that many families are not Spanish you'd expect the staff to speak at least English or French, but not.
All in all, thinking that we paid over €125 a night I can genuinely tell you that we could have found something nicer and better somewhere else in Estepona. When you get there you will see how many resorts and hotels there are! And Pierre & Vacances is not a competitive place!

Room Tip: Ask at least for an apartment in the back since the ones facing the pool are extremely noisy thinking that kids are in the pool from 10am to 9pm!!!!!!

Dear customer,

Thank you for having taken the time to share your experience with us.
Just to say that we are located in a residential area. The establishment is 1.5Km far from a supermarket, pharmacy, bars, petrol station, Chinese´s Bazar and a Bus Stop. 1,8Km far from the beach. 4Km far from San Pedro, 8Km far from Estepona and 20 Km far from Marbella. We don´t offer dishwasher in our catalogues. The cleaning service is under contract and we apply just you have, all agencies know that. The SPA and GYM belong to an external company, but all our collaborators were informed that is closed on this season. The reception can speak so many languages, English, French, German and Spanish, one was born in USA and was living 15 years, another two were born in France and were living there for 20 years, another two have the B2 and C1 degree for English and French respectively.

Kind regards
