Located abut 2km from old town about a 30minute walk along the beach front in to old town. There is a bus stop 50m from the hotel which takes you in to the centre for 1.10 euro each way they run until 1am
Service good, bedroom spacious, good shower and WiFi - did not have breakfast so unable to comment.
We parked our motorcycle outside the hotel for free overall perhaps a little far from the old town but very pleasant none the less

I Stayed At Hotel Regio In Cadiz's New Town Between 07 - 11th October 2017 And At First Glance It Looked Like A Box - Standard New Build Hotel. The Foyer Is Large & Modern & The Desk Staff Were Very Pleasant In Their Introduction To The Premises. The Room Was Very Comfortable With My Own Large Balcony Overlooking The Rear Of The Building ( Preferable If You Want To Avoid The Noise Of The Main Road ). The Facilities Included An In Room Safe, Satellite T.V ( Although It Only Had Spanish TV Channels So I Used It For Listening To A Selection Of Various Music Channels Instead ), Bath/Shower, Bidet, W.C. & Complimentary Soaps & Gels As Well. The Air Conditioning Worked Fine ( Which Was Great As Even In October It Was Well In The 80's. The Main Road La Avenida Is Like A Boulevard & Runs Virtually The Length Of The City ( The No 1 Bus Runs It's Entire Length & Is Only 1.10 Euro Per Trip ). There Are Many Shops & Eateries Along La Avenida & The Beautiful La Victoria Beach Is Only 5 Minutes Away.
Overall A Very Nice Hotel, Well Worth The Very Reasonable Cost Of Accommodation & Very Well Situated In This Gorgeous Old City.

Room Tip: Rear Facing Rooms Have Large Balconies With Privacy Screens, Table & Chairs.

We booked this hotel for a 10 day stay in a double room based on the photos displayed on the Hotel website. Upon arrival we were informed that no double rooms were available but we had been allocated a twin and the beds could be pushed together. On entering the room i was horrified by the size it was tiny with no wardrobe space and no room to swing a cat. Had we been staying for a night or 2 the room may have been bearable however the prospect of spending 10 days in a room no larger than that in Prisoner C Block H was exceptionally distressing. I returned to the reception to express my unhappiness with the room provided but the response I received was one where I was lectured on the acceptable dimensions of rooms within Spain. My husband then went to complain but was told nothing could be done until the following day. having checked on the website and identified vacancies within the hotel we were eventually moved to another room by a helpful manager Stephanie. This room was more spacious and had a view of the street rather than a wall and we settled in for our 10 day stay. One our first morning the toilet became blocked however this issue was rectified quite quickly. One particular issue was the noise level and the lack of sound proofing between the rooms. On the second night of our stay we were awoken by our neighbours who were arguing from 3 am until the morning and appeared to be practising flamenco dancing throughout the night before collapsing and snoring loudly from about 7 am for the rest of our stay. On a positive the hotel was clean and well situated. Would I stay there again ? ABSOLUTELY NOT !

Room Tip: Do not accept a twin room

Dear guest,

We are sorry your extend and negative comment. Firstly we are not a prision, we´re a 3-star Hotel ( urban ). We are not also a 5 or 4 - star hotel. In other hand absolutely all requirements of guest are based on availability sorry for the inconveniences but this is a normal rule in any hotel in spain. Our pictures are true and corrects you can revise others comments better than yours about this on this metasearh or in others otas. In any cases and above all on high season is very difficult to controlate all noises, sorry for the inconveniences but is impossible practely. We are sorry that your stay with us was bad. If you decide to come again all will be perfect. Good night and thank you very much for your opinion about our clean service and location in town.

I just returned from a 4 day stay at Hotel Regio Cadiz. The staff were very helpful indeed, the room excellent with simple effective air-conditioning, public transport to the old town close by, as is the beach and the breakfast wonderful. I am really glad I stayed here, it was the basis from which I explored Cadiz in it's many aspects.

Room Tip: Good value, clean, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, everything need for a short stay

The good or best part is the breakfast. This is the only hotel of 8 we've stayed at in Spain and Portugal to divert from the standard hotel breakfast fare. So good marks for that. Checkin was almost efficient, it took a long time, but was almost without personality - the opposite of breakfast. Our room was largish, spotlessly clean and all one could ask for. Sure, the hotel is away from the city centre but close to the beach although closeness to the beach is meaningless in early Spring. All up, a good hotel with some pluses and slightly more minuses at this time of year. In high summer it would be given a higher rating.
