We stayed here 20 years ago and liked it so decided to return this April. Unfortunately the experience was not at all as we remembered previously. Our room was on the top floor facing into the courtyard. ( noisy) It was very hot and dingy. As soon as we walked in I noticed a musty smell which became stronger and was in fact a stale drain smell coming from the bathroom.
We are not fussy people so thought we would open the door and window for a while to try to get rid but there was no breeze and it was hot.
We tried to put on the Air con but it did not work.
We asked reception about the AC but we told they don’t make it available in April. (Despite advertising AC)
The next day because of the smell during the night and heat we asked to move rooms which they reluctantly agreed to.
The 2nd room was fine and looked out over the street with a huge window and some breeze.
The hotel breakfasts were minimal. They don’t acknowledge your arrival and avoid eye contact and we waited ages to get a table and then be served. I noticed everyone else who arrived were treated the same.
The best and only good thing about this hotel is the location but there are plenty of others in the area.
Try somewhere else that doesn’t treat their guests like an irritation

I have no idea where they got their ratings from. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Worst experience of our vacations in Andalucia.

The so called parking is in another part of the city and no one from the staff was "available" to accompany us to park the car as we were waiting in the most unaccessible part of Cordoba where leaving your car is obviously a pain for the rest of the city, and this apparently because it was breakfast time. After an unnecessary discussion it was easier to park on the other side of the bridge (at no cost, ironically). Of course we had called the day before and even passed by reception to organise parking specifying our hour of arrival...

Then they then thought they would give us one of the only two street level rooms with no insulation whatsoever, a hobbit-sized bed with "sheets" smaller than the mattress. From this "thing" you can easily guess the nationality of every group of people passing by and that's a lot during semana santa's nights.

Of course "continental" breakfast was a piece of bread, industrial juice and "coffee"... They cannot cook eggs. Or maybe they can but they won't.
When we left, we were not asked how our stay was, it is most probably the hotel's policy. They simply do not care.

No service, no charm, no infrastructure. I guess this is your worst option in Cordoba. Not worth the money, not worth half the money. Just not worth your time. It ruined our Cordoba stay. Just don't.

Room Tip: Don't choose this hotel

We stayed one night in the hotel. The staff are very helpful. The room and bathroom are clean and tidy and overlooking the narrow street. The hotel is in a very good location, close to the mezquita and the mezquita car park.
Overall very simple and nice hotel.

The jotel has an excellent location and is well located for seeing the old city.
Good service in the reseption. Almost all are speaking English.
My room was small, but clean and sufficient for a couple of days.
Breakfast was limited.... toast and jam.

Great value. Lovely hotel near Mezquita. No problem with internet in our rooms. Linens and towels could be updated but large bathroom, hot showers, marble floors, large and very clean rooms. Lovely interior patio where you have breakfast and strong coffee
