We are trying to see opera in as many European cities that we can. The theatre is quite comfortable and modern. Great sight lines and importantly, acoustics. We ordered tickets online months in advance to secure seats. Not sure if that was necessary except to say we were glad we were able to attend. Performed by singers who are active on the international scene it was a pleasure to hear Puccini performed with such style and vocal accomplishment.

This beautiful concert hall hosts international performers in opera, dance, & music (flamenco to symphony, and between). The prices are modest and affordable to most tourists (about 20-40 Euros, all good, unobstructed seats). Choose your genre, book, and go; you'll be supporting the arts AND mingling with local Andalusians (plus interesting fellow tourists). Our recent concert featured the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, conducted by Polish Grammy-winner Antoni Wit, playing a program of Tchaikovsky's 1st, Op. 13, and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet ballet. A fine evening in an elegant setting. We've now got tickets for a Feb 25th event, "Hommage to Paco de Lucia" (Spain's late, great flamenco/classical guitar icon). Six top current Spanish guitar masters will perform that evening! TIP: Concert hall tours are available.

We got relatively cheap tickets for a Sunday night performance of Rigoletto. One of the best productions I've seen/heard and to share it with a theaterful of obvious opera adficionadas made it all the more memorable.

Never been to a concert where the performers so obviously got as much joy from it as the audience did. Absolutely magnificent. Beats my cd of the same work into a cocked hat.
