Great convenient location. Two major problems.
First: the rooms are exceptionally dark, lit only by 2 small bulbs. There are no available outlets, so if you want to charge your phone, you lose 50% of the light in the room. Rooms need better lighting and more outlets.
Second: The "free" Wifi is awful. You get what you pay for,. The internet service was highly intermittent, lasting a few minutes and then crashing. The desk personnel had no idea what to do and no contact for Tech support. They have a crazy password system that should be eliminated.

Room Tip: Dont stay here if you plan to get any work done in the room. For sleep only

The central location of this hotel is a real bonus. Everything is within walking distance. Though at a busy intersection rooms are quiet and nicely appointed. The hotel building seems to be one of the old stately homes common at the turn of the 20th century and oozes old world charme. The breakfast room with a huge chandelier hanging from the high ceilings probably once served as a ballroom. .

It was a nice warm hotel. I had an Arrangment voor 2 days. Breakfast was good and the diner superb. It was at the port of the city,so you can go voor a drink at a terras in the old town. People were very friendly and helpfull.

Room Tip: i had a single room at the top with a small balcony and it was very cosy and had a beautiful view .

This charming hotel is somewhat overpriced but we stayed there on a holiday weekend and got the last available room so we were glad to find accommodations and didn't mind paying a little more than planned. The room was small but adequate, clean but with a slightly musty smell, and the bed was average comfort. Our service was great and we did get good WiFi signal so that was a big plus. I was also pleased to discover more electrical outlets than usually provided, including one by each side of the bed which was really appreciated. Breakfast was very elegantly presented and the entire experience was satisfactory with more pluses than minuses.

Wartburg Castle is the draw that brings most people to Eisenach, so often they bop in and out on a bus tour but don't stay the night iin Eisenach. If, however, you choose to spend a little more time in the city, choose to stay here, in Hotel Kaiserhof (1) The service is exceptionnal, (2) The rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable, (3) Prices are very reasonable, (4) the beer on tap in the lobby is great! (5) It is walking distance from the train station (6) and walking distance from the rest of the town. (7) The included breakfast is extensive, (8) Internet is free and works! (9) It is about 200 yards from the stop for the bus that takes you up to Wartburg castle
