The hotel is in a residential area outside of town, which is actually fine. It's quiet, not too far of a drive and much, much cheaper than the hotels in town.
The woman who runs the hotel does not speak any English, but we all muddled through it. She was very friendly and kind.
You will have to pay in cash.
The breakfast spread was nice.
The rooms in the main part of the hotel are nice, though like the rest of the hotel a bit dated. Every hotel we stayed at in Germany had the same rock hard beds, and this was no exception. Not sure if there is any escaping that anywhere you stay.
The one major problem is that we had so many people some of us had to stay in the apartment in the basement. It was actually the more modern area of the hotel and would have been perfectly fine if not for one major drawback - it is incredibly damp. We all felt like we were wet constantly. The apartment needs a large dehumidifier. I would not recommend staying in the apartment portion of the hotel.More
