This hotel is 2 star very simple and old!
Junior suite are big and good space for family of four! But the carpet and the walls are in bad shape!
Bathrooms are good!
Parking free outside is good! This hotel is cheap only for one night stay otherwise we don't recommend

If you don't care too much about an internet connection quality this can be acceptable choice to stop for a night or two.
Stuff are very pleasant, most speak a good English. Rooms are somewhat old but still in acceptable shape.
But if you need a good wifi, the one they offer for free is not acceptable. The connection quality is so random. You can have almost perfect average speed connection and in a minute you got 50+% packets losses.

The hotel is a converted residential building, so the rooms in the apartment are full size. Our "deluxe double room" (booking.com description) had a separate living room, bedroom and kitchen, as well as a bathroom and an area near the front door that I don't know the name of but which had a cupboard and coat rack.

The building is the type of post-war apartment block that many Germans live in. It has been refurbished and has a lift, but you can still see original architectural features such as the chunky balcony and the precast concrete door frames. We found this interesting, as we have seen many of these buildings from the outside but never been inside one. All of the windows in this one are the modern type which can open in two ways. Every room has a fixed light, usually on the ceiling. In places where the original concrete moulding has been chipped, it obviously can't be fixed, so expect to notice a few rough spots on the door frames and balcony.

The bathroom is fully refurbished and is similar to other German hotel bathrooms. There is a full size bath that an adult can actually bathe in, and a hose-type shower over the bath (use as a hand shower to avoid flooding the bathroom). I was very pleased to find a rubber bath mat and a bathroom stool provided, something you aren't usually given. So, you can shower standing up, but not standing under a fixed shower head.

The living room had a round dining table with two chairs. A tablecloth was provided.
There wasn't a separate desk, so we used the dining table for eating and working. The lounge and wall units were certainly 1980s style in appearance, but couldn't possibly be that old as they were in very good condition. We never used the TV.

The bedroom had two single beds pushed together, two bedside tables with lamps, and a large wardrobe. There was plenty of space around the bed. Extra pillows were in the cupboard near the front door. The pillows were big square feather and down ones.

The kitchen has a full size electric stove (oven + three hotplates) and a half-height fridge with no freezer or ice maker. The sink has a draining board, which makes washing up much easier. There was adequate tableware for two people, but the only cookware was two saucepans. We asked for a frying pan, and one was found for us, but they didn't have any kind of a colander/strainer. We later noticed that there was no cooking knife (to cut raw meat or vegetables), no cutting board, no wooden spoon or serving spoon, no can opener, no egg slice, etc., so we bought a plastic strainer and a flat wooden tool at the supermarket. There is no microwave oven, although one would fit perfectly on top of the fridge. We didn't try the electric coffee maker. There was no toaster, but the oven can make toast. Washing up detergent, a cloth and tea towels (dish towels) were provided, but no scourer. (We have our own scourer and made the saucepans much cleaner.)

The balcony isn't very pretty, but it has a canvas awning and brackets you can hook a pegless clothesline to. (I don't know if you're actually allowed to hang washing, but I did hang some lingerie.)

The WiFi worked fine for my tablet, and fairly well for the smartphone, but not as well for the laptop. We found that the laptop worked best in the apartment hall. As the building's internal walls are concrete, adding more WAPs in the main corridor would probably fix this up. There were plenty of power points around the rooms, although not always in the most convenient locations.

Housekeeping serviced the room every day, doing the beds, towels, and taking away all the rubbish. Everything was clean and in good working order. Even all the lights worked.

The area seems quite safe. There is a tram stop on the street corner, although you could walk to the centre. The REWE supermarket is about two blocks away, and we used the coin-operated SB Waschsalon laundrette that's around the corner. The supermarket is not open on Sundays, which is normal in Germany.

So, don't expect it to be swanky like a Citadines apartment hotel, but it is very liveable if you can cope with minimal kitchenware. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: There's probably less traffic noise at the back, but the double-glazed windows work well.

Everything was wonderful. The rooms are very clean, the location is very close to the center, the staff is very nice and helpful.
The only thing I was sorry about was the price--if I had booked it in advance I would have paid less-but this was my problem, not theirs.
