This hotel is about a 20 minute walk to a newer main area of Dresden. It is a very quaint property, with the sense that they are more geared to casual vacationers rather than business people. It's located in a quiet neighborhood that seemed mostly residential, with a school nearby. My room was comfortable, except the shower was elevated high off the ground (a high step up!) and it was stall size, not tub size. The in-room WiFi was quite slow, and the lobby computer is a classic.
However, opening the door to the breakfast room I got a complete different perspective. The hotel corridors are dark; the breakfast room was happy and sunny. The sleeping room was small; the breakfast room was expansive. I could not be happier with the breakfast! They served many choices, with delicious treats. I did not see any bottled still water and did not think to ask for it, but otherwise this breakfast was very special.More
